Update:After leaving my original review, I was contacted by James at Urban Rebounder who offered advice on how to solve the squeaking problem! The rebounder is now almost silent and is a much better experience that when I originally received it. The customer service was second to none, and the rebounder is now everything I hoped it would be (and everything the other 5 star reviews claimed!) which is fantastic. Now I'm thrilled with my purchase and would recommend. It's a shame that it did need some tweaking to overcome the noise problem, but as I assumed by the other glowing reviews, the rebounder I received was in the minority, rather than the majority :)----Considering the many 5 star reviews for this rebounder, I feel disappointed not be able to leave the same review myself...perhaps I received a faulty rebounder, but mine does not live up to the reviews I have read here. I purchased my Urban Rebounder to replace a cheaper rebounder, feeling that the price would be justified in superior quality.The delivery was quick and the first day's rebounding was fantastic. The rebounder itself is hefty, strong and of great quality. I could certainly feel the difference when bouncing, compared to my previous cheaper rebounder. It gives a super soft bounce and I feel confident bouncing high and heavy on it. I have no fear of it breaking or injuring myself - it's sturdy and of great quality. There's no 'jarring' that my body suffered on my previous rebounder.However, by day 2, the springs started to squeak. It was no longer the silent bounce that I'd experienced on the first day. Having emailed Rebound UK through their website and upon receiving no reply, we decided to search online for solutions, deciding to WD40 the springs. It was not just the odd spring - it's every spring, some louder than others. The WD40 hasn't helped and I'd hoped that it would 'wear in' a bit, but the squeaking can be heard all over the house.I paid the premium price for the Urban Rebounder as I believed it would be a convenient, quiet and enjoyable product. The equipment itself is of great quality, however, I'm disappointed that the squeaking springs have ruined the experience. My family are filled with dread at the anticipation of the noise whenever they see me get the rebounder out to use. It's not just a little squeak - it's a loud, shrieking that can be heard all over our house, even above the TV in another room. I feel that I've wasted a lot of money in buying a 'premium' rebounder that just isn't living up to expectations - I regret not saving my money and getting a Bellicon with bungee cord rather than springs.As there are so many excellent reviews for the rebounder from others, I have to question whether my shrieking rebounder is a one-off.

this is, by far, absolutely THE BEST exercise/fitness product i've ever bought!!you need to ignore the negative reviews. my rebounder is fab and i'm addicted to the fun of bouncing :Dmy history; late 30's, active fit outdoorsy lady with asthma, slight curve to spine, mis-aligned hips & pelvis, mis-aligned knees, patella tendonitis in both knees, degenerative changes in left knee, collapsed arches in both feet so i wear orthotics every day. i decided to give this form of exercise a go because a friend recommended it, so i've been attending classes for almost two months now. for more than ten years all other forms of high impact exercise have left me absolutely crippled and unable to walk without pain & stiffness in all my leg joints, especially my knees, for several days after doing the exercise.but rebounding does NOT give me any pain at all, whatsoever, and i'm so happy i could cry! and that is why i bought my own urban rebounder. it is definitely money well spent in my eyes because i can exercise as hard as i want and it DOES NOT HURT my knees. obviously everyone is different and you know your body and how hard you can push yourself, but so far i've done everything our class instructor has told us to do, tentatively at first because i was expecting pain but that pain didn't happen so i am pushing myself harder every class. its the same with the dvd, i've only followed the one workout so far because i want to repeat it and get fitter, and that is definitely happening and i haven't had any pain.i've rebounded on a cheaper version at the gym so as to get a comparison and OMG! not only was it hard work but i felt my left knee burning on almost every bounce, so don't waste your money buying a cheaper one because you will suffer for it.the people at urban rebounder have got it spot-on with everything! i have exchanged some lovely emails with janet from customer services and i'm quite certain if i have any questions they will be only too happy to help.just be advised that the american instructor on the dvd takes some getting used to as he's almost constantly talking and at first it sounded patronising rather than encouraging which is what's intended, but once you get past that and concentrate on the correct technique you can follow the workout with the sound off and just watch the screen. i have 80's dance music playing instead and its such good fun!and ladies, my backside is looking and feeling *HOT* i'm toning up like i never would have thought possible, and this is only the beginning of my urban rebounding journey. bring it on!!!

Designed by dedicated fitness instructor,JB Berns this exercise équipe is a work of genius and so are the assisted workouts on the dvds. 32 years ago I was left side paralysed and bought this as an an essential rehab aid. With no sense of balance a trampoline has its dangers but with the urban rebounder the unique stabilizing bar allows safe exercise which in a word is not jumping, as on a trampoline ) but rebounding, where standing on the sprung centre you use your core to push down through your toes and rebound so building a rhythm into which infinite step and arm movements can be added to make an amazing home workout which is great fun on superior quality kit. The apparatus is substantial, great looking and workouts are highly professional, well guided and fun. Afurther advantage is that the rebounder has a leg arrangement that can be set in a sloping aspect (elevated) and in this position workouts are given the benefits of resistance to build strength and calorie burn. Clever design and construction plus dvd workouts make the urban rebounder a winner in my eyes and having had it a few weeks , it is simple to set up, (even one-handed ), its a convenient size if left set up and folds down to large holdall size and provides thorough guidance on gym standard workouts for home. I thoroughly recommend this to anyone, It surprised me and it will you. Try it its brilliant.
