🛡️ Your Lifesaver in a Pack!
The Rehcull Vented Chest Seal is a critical medical supply designed to treat open chest injuries effectively. With a 6-inch diameter and 4 vent channels, it prevents air from entering the chest cavity, reducing the risk of lung collapse. Its advanced adhesive ensures a secure seal under various conditions, while its compact size makes it easy to carry in any first aid or trauma kit. Ideal for first responders and anyone looking to be prepared for emergencies.

Can save a life
I have treated sucking chest wounds under combat conditions. The technique we were taught was to rip open a battle dressing, then apply the plastic packaging to the wound, then tie the battle dressing around it. Abject failure. I have not used this one yet, but I bought it because it solves all the problems with the old technique, specifically, having a one-way valve to release the intrapleural air, while preventing more from entering, at least through the primary entry site. This prevents a tension pneumothorax, at least until the victim can reach an operating room. Its self-adherence is a major bonus. Every first responder and combat medic should have one in their bag.

Vented chest seal.
Fortunately, I have not had the need to use it IRL. In practice it sticks well. Seems like it will do the job. If it fails to do the job, I will post again.

A Great Addition for your IFAK
I am a firefighter and an EMT and have used chest seals before during emergency medical calls, although never this brand. Penetrating wounds of the chest wall or abdomen can be pretty nasty, and the one-way valve on the chest seals is designed to let the air out of the hole, but not in.Tourniquets are great, and you should carry those too, but you can't put a tourniquet on a sucking chest wound. These chest seals are new stock, and the ones I received had a 5-year expiration date (so 2027, as shown in the pics), so they'll be effective for a long time. Carry two of these in your IFAK, as $11.99 (on a Cyber Monday deal, at the time of this review - the regular price is listed as $14.99) is money well spent if you ever find yourself in a situation where you need them. Plan on using two of these (one for the hole in the front and one for the hole in the back, if there is one) for every wound.

Great to have in medic kit
This is one of those items that's great to have on hand, and pray it's never needed. I keep this in my medic kit for that unfortunate incident that I never hope to need.

Great for Trauma Kits
Everyone should keep a pack of chest wound seals in their trauma kit because it's something you want if you don't have one yet. If you find yourself shot, or getting something stuck in the chest, you'll want these seals. Even something like a car accident can cause chest injuries. They are single use seals (please do not try reusing them). They are sealed to be sterile, so you don't want to open these and put them in another package either. For $15 for a 2 pack, it's a good price for what you get. Granted, I'm not going to go stab myself and put a chest seal on it to try it out, so it's really hard to give these a proper evaluation. But, opening one of them and comparing to brands that I do know work (being in the medical field), I can tell you that I would use these and will keep one in my first aid kit.

Worked well in training
I added one of these to my first aid kit and I used the other in training. They were easy to open. The directions are easy to follow and understand. They are a good size and cover an area well. They conform to the body well with little issue. The adhesive is strong. I have not been able to test them in real life but they appear to work well in training. I have no reason to believe they will not work well in a real life situation.
