Fantastic music box, and great value
We bought this as a present for my son to give to my daughter for her 1st birthday and it has fast become one of her favourite toys. It has quickly become part of her bedtime routine, playing with it and trying to put the pieces back upright onto the 'lake', which is good for her co-ordination. The little characters are very sweet and sturdy and the perfect size for little hands. The music box is well made and comes in a nice box, so makes a lovely present. I would definitely recommend this toy and will be buying more of them as gifts for other kids too.

Great gift for a child from babyhood to 6-7 years ...
This is so lovely! Great gift for a child from babyhood to 6-7 years old. The animals spin to a nice music and my 2 years old is able to wind it up by herself.Note regarding some comments that said that the mirror surface was scratched: I'm certain they didn't notice that it was the protective film. My first thought was also: oh, no! But then I noticed the protective film, removed it and mirror underneath was perfect.

Lovely toy for a baby gift
Perfect - absolutely perfect. Baby and toddler loved it. Green is a good alternative for little girls to pink and it is bright and cheery. I looked at the other options and this is the best in my opinion. The tune is cheerful and jolly as well - that was a factor in my choice as well as the animals and the colour.

Looks lovely, however didn't work I'm afraid.
Would give it a wind up and it wouldn't work, then it would randomly start and stop. Kept sticking.
