Brilliant tool for a dust free job
One of the best little tools I own. Fits well to a standard vacuum cleaner hose (I use it with a Henry hoover) and the suction sticks the tool to the wall or even ceiling easily. Great at catching all the dust and saves the hassle of cleaning up mess or risking brick dust staining skirtings. I've had mine now for years and it's brilliant. Just make sure to don't damage the foam skirt or you'll ruin the seal. I keep mine in a box.

Why didn't I get one sooner
Oh my god, how am I nearly 40 and only just bought this. The amount of times ive struggled trying to hold a drill and hoover is ridiculous. Just slap this on the wall and drill away with 0 mess. I was making 12mm holes and it coped with no issues. The hole on this could probably take a 14mm bit, but really you're into sds territory there and this isn't really designed for that, you'll need a bigger model with a larger opening. But for your general, run of the mill 6-12mm holes I'd say this is unbeatable for the cost.

Friggin amazing!!
Ok I’m gonna make this short (cause I wrote two previous reviews for this little beast here and both got erased before I sent em 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤷🏻♀️). Get this. You won’t regret it. No dust or debris while drilling. Cleaner holes cause the dust gets sucked out while the actual drilling is taking place so the bits can do their work(much like when sanding with/without Dust Extraction). Great design. Sticks to the surface easily. You can take out the pivoting angled adaptor part if you prefer sticking that hose straight in. Just swivel it around till you find a notch in the ring, line it up with the adaptor -protruding-plastic-part ,and pull it out. easy. That’s Festool for ya... making work ...and life ,clean, easy, and fun! Go go go go go go go go!! 😳😞😱 😜😜😜😜😜 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏽♀️ 👌🏿👍🏿🙏🏼🐚✨❄️❤️😘 ❤️🌹 🌕

Curious Curate's Oeuf
Very useful but it's a bit of a curate's egg. Does as every other reviewer is extolling about, ie it collects the drill dust before it lands on your dog by your feet. But I've given it 4 stars (generously) not because I'm mean but because: - It's bloody expensive for a piece of plastic. - it really needs narrow diameter vacuum hose into a Festool connector to work best in both configurations. Fortunately I have this anyway. - unless you're deaf already you really need to use ear defenders as the vacuum whine is ear-splitting. - makes it more difficult to start the hole as you can't see the 'x' marks the spot stuff anymore. - have to make allowances for chuck contacting the tool itself before you've drill the depth you want. - need electrical vacuum with you even though all your other tools may be rechargeable. Bottom line for me is if I could get away without using it and vacuuming up afterwards, then that's what I would do. But if you really need to avoid dust then this does its job well.

Festool quality through and through!
Wished I’d bought this sooner, seen it for ages but always put off by the price, tried and bought cheaper versions…wish I hadn’t! Great little piece of kit, and is compatible with most vaccums thanks to a very clever design, obviously best with a Festool vac but sometimes you don’t always need that on the job. Worth every penny!

No more dirty holes.
Question - Why would you buy such a such thing? Answer - To save your marriage. Let’s say drilling holes indoors, is never a good thing. Just imagine doing this after ‘better-half’ has sent days painting and you need to drill a few holes into plaster/brick. Yes, I know I should have done this before walls were painted, but we don’t all have a reliable crystal ball. Thee old tape an envelope underneath to catch the dust/fallout while drilling, only works if tape you have isn’t going to risk damaging freshly painted walls. Plus how do you clean out the hole you’ve just drilled to allow plugs and screws to be inserted without getting it everywhere - vacuum, I hear you say…if only you had a tool that could connect upto your vacuum cleaner to make life easier. So this short, if you want to save your marriage while drilling holes and that cleans up as you go along, then this is for you. If you’ve read this far, then hopefully you’ll know you will need to connect this upto a vacuum cleaner - useless if you don’t. Shark upright hose attachment to the rescue (other brands will no doubt do just as good a job) Ease of use: Accepts multiple different thicknesses of extension hose. Why did you choose this product over others?: It’s festool, could never afford/justify their power tools, but can at least say you now own a festool :)

Works really well, should have bought one years ago.
This is a great addition to my SDS drill. I always used to get the wife to help and hold a dustpan and vacuum nozzle underneath any masonry holes being drilled indoors. It was always a juggle for space and didn't work very well. This changes that. I've just drilled 32x 6mm holes for some IKEA shelving brackets, using this Festool nozzle with my workshop vacuum, which is essentially a Henry. The vacuum fits well without any tape or similar, with the right-angle removable section that came with the Festool nozzle being removed and not required in this case. On my lining-paper covered walls the nozzle held in place every time. At the end of the job, I literally did no extra cleaning. One of the photos I've added shows the collected brick dust on the white skirting boards after drilling 8 holes in a vertical line above it. My drill's depth stop works past the side of the nozzle without issue. I would say that the air does make a fair bit of noise in the nozzle, but then drilling holes in bricks does too so no problems with ear defenders to help. I also ordered a Bosch setup at 3 times the price of this, but didn't even open it as this is just what's needed. This Festool part is also small enough to fit in my drill's box for next time, unlike other larger styles. If you have a momentary trigger vacuum, like a handheld Dyson for example, this might not be quite so useful as of course the dust collection would then not be hands free. Buy one of these Festool nozzles if you have a suitable vacuum. At £20 it's ideal.

Not at all overrated, worth every penny
It took me awhile to get one of these because, like most people, I've gotten by for decades with doing cleanup *after* drilling into masonry. You can always ask someone to hold a vacuum nozzle next to the drill bit whilst the dust spews out, but even that isn't 100% effective. I can attest, after drilling two holes in a wall in a fairly cramped study space (lots of potential for dust contaminating books and electronics, there was not a single peck of dust to be seen once the holes were drilled. Whether working in your own home or that of a paying customer, you'll quickly recoup the price of this item with the time saved on cleanup and hassle avoided from damaging/contaminating the surrounding area. Simply hook up the nozzle of your vacuum of choice to this device, position the device on the wall (after you've marked the spot you want to drill), switch the vacuum on, et voila, it sticks in place leaving both hands free for drilling. If memory serves, this accepts up to a 10mm or 12mm bit. Anything larger than that, most likely, it either won't be light domestic work, or it will be a wooden bit (e.g. flat spade bit). Either way, if you're doing heavy construction work (with an SDS equipped masonry drill), or drilling into wood, keeping a clean working area isn't so vital. Of course, if you've also invested in a Festool vacuum, dust capture is sorted regardless of the tool (it's one of the features that sets them apart from other manufacturers). Very highly recommended, even for Festool-sceptics.

Perfecte uitvinding 10/10.

Very nice attachment.
Works well, item works perfectly with my Bosch dust extractor. Very nice attachment to keep a customers house clean when drilling drywall, tile or masonry. Also, this is a rebranded product by Starmix, another German based company. Item is made in Germany. FYI the standard Bosch dust extractor hose connector (VX120) fits perfectly.
