Buy this book and build a dream
Shelter is a wonderful manual of wonderful building ideas. I would be the first to recommend its jam packed pages to even the most partial building enthusiast. I love shelter and it’s legacy is very important, particularly in today’s world of disposable nonsense. Buy it and be inspired to build wonderful things.

"Shelter" Lloyd Kahn
I love this book - My DIY career is primarily focussed on the rebuilding of my 1895 Victorian Terrace, but the book nevertheless inspired my self build kitchen extension built from the contents of other people's skips and what I can do in the present governments "planning" holiday without offending either my neighbours or destroying the planet. Maybe a chapter or a page on Walter Segal's work, would be a good revision, though this might give it a Eurocentric turn that might negatively effect the flavour.Robin Brown
