This is a serious heating pad. It works wonders for my tight back, shoulders, and neck after a day or work- or play. It's heavy given the jade pieces. I wish the neck went just a little higher, but just pull it closer and it works just fine.It does get very hot. Their recommendation that it not be used on bare skin is spot on. Literally, I can only imagine the spots that would be left from the discs if you left that on bare skin. The hottest I've set it is to 72. 69-71 is the sweet spot for me.The heat / timer control is super loud and it's annoying an hour is the top time given that it takes around 10 min to get to temp.Overall, worth the money for the relief it provides.

UPDATE: When I first got this item, it was a godsend. Then, after a little less than a month, it stopped working. But it was eligible for replacement and I got a new one in just a matter of a few days. My replacement then worked beautifully - for five more months. Now it's broken again. It heats up, but if I put it over my shoulders, something shorts out and it loses heat. For $200, something like this should last longer than a few months. I've changed my five star review to one. Now I'll see if I can still return this piece of garbage. My previous review is below....This mostly does what it says it will do and boy what a relief it is. The straps don't really do much, though - no matter what I do, it won't always be uniformly snug against my shoulders or back. But it doesn't need to be and it's not a problem. It's probably the stones that cause that because they make it kind of bulky. Also, the temp gauge is in centigrade but that's no big deal either. Overall, I think this is a fine product and I'm glad I bought it.

I am in my mid-sixties and even though I am active my hips have become stiffer over the last few years.After reading reviews and doing research I decided to give 1Love Far Infrared Heating Pad a try. I have been positioning the pad so my hips and lower back benefit from the deep heat and as result I have renewed flexibility and reduced hip pain.To be honest I do not understand all the science behind Far Infrared heat, but it is easy to notice the heat penetrates deeper into my muscles than a standard heating pad. Two thumbs up for this product.

My husband and I bought this heating pad a couple weeks ago and it has been wonderful! My husband gets sore after lifting weights and my shoulder are tight after a long day at work. We've tried other heating pads in the past, but this one has the perfect amount of coverage, heat, and usability. It's quick to heat up and has adjustable temperature settings which provides more than enough heat, we don't even use it on the highest setting. I love the Velcro on the straps to hold it in place, it also has a buckle around the waist that keeps it close to my back. We're very health conscious, so the ultra low EMF was a big selling point. The product is made of high quality materials and with our active lifestyle we will get a lot of use out of it. I'm going to purchase one for my parents as a Christmas gift, they will love it.

I don't know if I'll ever be able to live without it. I have two herniated disc's in my neck, and three bulging disc's in my lower back. Feels great!

I bought this item and it stopped working. Not worth the price. Lasted only 8 months!

I've been using this for upper back and neck tension after workouts and it has substantially increased my recovery. It is also extremely adjustable I've never had a heating pad with some many different temperatures. Great product.
