Great in some ways, poor in others
At such a low price, and boasting a high specification, the Oukitel U13 is an attractive option. The design of the phone is one of the best features, made out of solid aluminium, it looks and feels like a more expensive handset, and surprisingly similar to my Nexus 6P.The quality of the screen very good, being 1080p there is ample resolution; colours are ok, although not as good as some leading handsets. The speed of the phone is fantastic thanks to the Octacore processor, and with 3gb of ram, you won't have any problems multitasking and playing games.64 Gigabytes of internal storage is supplied, which is more than ample even for the most demanding users. If not, it can be expanded. The phone weighs a little over 150 grams, which is surprisingly light given the aluminium construction and large screen. The fingerprint sensor is a nice addition, but doesn't work quite as well as my Nexus 6P one, however, it definitely works 95% of the time, you just sometimes have to keep your finger on a little longer.Battery life is acceptable, but as it is only 3000mah capacity, don't expect miracles; it'll certainly last you a day on moderate use.The phone is capable of being functional across 3G and 4G bands in the UK (b20 capable).Unlike most Chinese phones, this one can perform over the air updates, meaning you will get bug fixes and version updates to Android and your phone's firmware using the supplied update application. This phone has the Google Play Store pre-installed, meaning you are not restricted in what apps you can download. The phone comes with a screen protector and gel case pre-fitted, which is something I wish I had known beforehand, as I bought them separately. The phone uses a customised version of Android 6.0 and thus comes with a few oukitel software enhancements, some of which are really interesting, for example gesture control when swiping and using the camera, others less interesting and outright confusing like somatosensory, which I still don't quite understand. One feature which I really did like is a enhanced battery saver mode which essentially turns your phone into a Nokia 3310, meaning you can make your battery last for days in a basic operation mode. The phone comes with a custom launcher installed, which does make the Android home screen and menu items look a little bit different to what you are accustomed to, if you don't like this you can just install the Google Now launcher to make things a little more familiar. Here's where the good things stop. The speakers are abysmal, listening to YouTube is tinny and without depth. The camera is not a strong point of this phone, while it is perfectly functional, it fails to produce excellent quality images and video, making it a little bit below average. The camera also struggles to find the right exposure, meaning sometimes your photo are either too dark or too light.Touch screen sensitivity is a little lacking, and I found myself having to press the screen a little firmer to register a touch, however, this may be due to the screen protector which is pre-fitted to the phone. While the mobile data speed is good and capable of both 3G and 4G speeds in the UK, which is an uncommon feature in Chinese phones, when I compared it with my Moto G3 using the same SIM card I noticed slightly reduced speeds on the Oukitel when using 3G signals.Perhaps my handset has a slight fault, but the SIM tray rattles ever so slightly, but it appears only to be the outer sim casing which is faulty and does not appear to affect SIM card operation. The camera lens juts out slightly from the back of the phone, this means when you place it on a flat surface the lens glass will make contact before anything else. Having the gel case on the phone does mitigate this to an extent, but doesn't completely resolve it.Standard micro usb cables will struggle to fit into this phone. It appears to me that China's micro USB cables have a longer tip then EU models. The phone does come supplied with a longer tipped cable, however, if you're attempting to use any of your EU micro USB cables then they will be a bit rocky and loose.Even though the phone does come with Google Play store, I found I had to install a lot of the standard Google Apps which would normally come pre-installed, for example Google photos, Google Documents and Google Calendar. The phone only comes with the European plug, but this is not really an issue as I you can just buy a UK plug off of Amazon for a couple of pounds. This phone does not support NFC, thus meaning you cannot use Google pay, or perform NFC sharing. The phone comes with a feature called hotknot, which is the Chinese equivalent implementation of NFC, however unless you have friends with Chinese phones or you are planning on having a trip to China, then this feature is pretty useless. When you factor in the low price of this phone, and the high specs of the hardware, it is undoubtedly a very good deal. To get similar specs to this phone on a more familiar brand you would be spending at least double the price.Yes, there are major issues with the camera and the speakers, and various other little niggles, but sacrifices have been made to bring you a fast phone at an amazingly cheap price. If you can look past these shortcomings and accept this phone for what it is, then you will be happy. For me, personally, I could not live with the failures of the phone, and therefore returned it.It should be said that I am extremely critical with technology, so what I see as unacceptable may be fine for others, nonetheless, I hope my assessment helps people make the right decision for them.

Second Oukitel Phone and Same Battery Problem
I bought 1 unit Oukitel K10000 pro for myself and bought 1 unit Oukitel U13 for my wife as gift. Cases and designs of phones are perfect BUT each 2 phone has same battery problem. Battery drained from 100% to 89% in 1 hour. I cant believe it. Checked on diagnose mode, rebooted and saw battery is not calibrated for each phone. I dont understand i am only one unlucky buyer in Amazon.Sent messages of oukitel's official Facebook and private mails. They mostly reply all questions but not interested any of my complaints and ignored.Big dissapointed. They lost 1 customer. I will send all phones to back.Edit: Drained from 89% to 87% while writing these words.
