Wow!! This stuff is awesome!!
We just brought a BMW Mini Cooper S F57, and decided as BMW’s prep was so bad, we would do it ourselves. Being a long term Autoglym fan I went straight for their product. I can honestly say despite following the instructions to the letter, the product didn’t work. You get enough for a second go, so we tried again just encase and got the same results. So we decided to go for the Smart Fabric option, and all I can say is Wow! Don’t be scared off by the instructions or over the top YouTube video, it’s actually really easy to apply. The day after applying it we took the hose to the roof and we’re just amazed at how the water beads and slides off. It became a bit of a game. As you can physically blow water beads across the roof. A couple of people have actually commented on the way the water just slides off, and my wife just tells them her car is too posh to stay wet 🤣. This is a great product, and I would certainly recommend it!

This works!
I treat the top on my car twice yearly to keep it in to condition. The fabric is deep cleaned then treated with this product. Obviously following the instructions is a must but do not allow the surplus to get onto the paint or glass as it can be difficult to remove. It has a pleasant smell though slightly chemical in odour it isn’t obnoxious or overpowering. 500ml gives a generous application (2 good coats) on my Mercedes E class and as can be seen is very effective. Preparation is key to get this result but the payback is worth the effort.

Not the lastest version, Enough for one cabriolet roof
Do it in the summer or in a garage as it needs a dry shady 24hrs. My mini roof still wets out and leaks but it is old. There's no doubt that it improved it. Next summer I will apply another can but of the V2 newer stuff to see if that's better.

Just use it on anything you can, Brilliant
So before writing a review I had to wait until it rained. It just works like magic on my 10 year old convertible. But saying that I did have to apply it twice. Considering you pay far more for having it professionally done this does actually work. Only thing is don’t get it on the windscreens as it does make it very smeary and it is difficult to get off.

Fantastic for cabriolets
The media could not be loaded. Love this stuff! Works fantastically IF you apply as directed. I used it on my car roof (1 bottle did it) but only after cleaning it meticulously with another Gtechniq product first. I used cheap plastic dust sheets to protect glass and paintwork and then got to work! It’s been almost a month since I applied it and there’s been no deterioration in repellency. The surface prior to application needs to be very clean and dry for days before so if you don’t have a garage, or access to one, you’re probably going to struggle

Seat protection
Expensive but worth every penny. Works well. Smells for a few days only.

Waterproofing excellent but.................
I would start by saying that the waterproofing is excellent and the best that I have used on my 2 year old Mercedes E class cabriolet, however there are certain traits that would probably stop me using this again. Firstly I had to use 2 x 500ml to fully cover the roof and that makes it expensive. Secondly the application process is lengthy, a full shampoo wash followed by two days drying time before the product can be applied and then a further one days drying time, the roof must be kept dry during the whole process. Great if you have a garage but otherwise you chance getting the roof wet during the process. Finally the finish was awful, a very patchy and blotchy finish with light and dark patches. Dreadful and spoils the looks of the car. Instructions were followed to the letter. I have previously used a competitors shampoo and waterproofing kit that is much easier to use and gives a great uniform finish. The unsightly marks are slowly fading after 6 weeks, but this is an unacceptable trade off to the superior waterproofing properties. Not for me again.

Good product - would buy again
Used this on a soft-top folding car roof to improve water-proofing. Fairly easy to spray on. Very effective and impressive "beading". Pretty expensive but you get enough for two treatments every six months so actually not bad value for a year's worth.

I1 smart fabric
Wanted to try this product on a new vehicle we purchased with cloth seats. Strong smell need time to air out. Expensive cost, seems to work well though so far. 4 stars due to cost.
