It encourages your child to read as they can read the narration of one of the characters and you can read the other

I discovered the Elephant & Piggie books a few years ago and loved them, but my kids have just really got into them, so I bought my daughter a couple of new ones for Christmas. She is just learning to read, and now she reads Piggie's speeches and her big bro reads Gerald's. (I get to read the walk-on characters.) I just love the way Willems' illustrations combine such simplicity with such expressiveness, and his stories gently convey really positive messages for young heads. Bless you Gerald. My ASD kids can relate to it!

My 3 year old picked this book out of the library and became so obsessed with it that I had to go and buy it, as well as several others in the series. We both absolutely love them!

My daughter loved this wee book. Not a lot of reading in it, but it summed up how impatient she can be using fun characters.
