Second Printer Works OK
Spent a while researching for a replacement for my aging HP 1514 printer, sent to printer heaven by foolishly using some rip off toner cartridges supposedly from a reputable toner cartridge remanufacturer. They leaked and ruined the printer, luckily Amazon refunded the purchase price which I put towards my new printer, which I decided was going to be a Xerox C310.After years of using HP and lately suffering from frustrating intermittent WIFI connection issues I decided to change to Xerox. Unfortunately my initial experience was very bad! After opening the box and removing the printer from its protective plastic bag I opened all the flaps to remove the plastic strips which prevent transport damage, however someone had beaten me to it, no strips were to be seen which obviously made me a bit concerned.I then plugged the printer in and tried to set it up, according to the guide it should have gone immediately in to the setup wizard however it didn't and I had to set it up manually using the menus and keyboard (very easy to use).Connection to my PC via WIFI was quick and easy, (HP please note!!), however the printer refused to print and just displayed an error message "Check Supplies". After investigation I found that the Magenta toner container was completely empty.I then contacted Xerox Customer Service by phone, despite me registering the printer on their website they could not find my warranty record. After being passed around a few agents I was sent an email stating that a service person would contact me, that never happened despite me chasing them by email.I then requested a call back from Amazon Customer Service who phoned me back literally within seconds, Amazon really have got customer service sorted out. After explaining the situation, Amazon agreed to replace the printer and arrange collection of the one I had received without argument. The second printer has arrived and is now in use and works fine, easy to set up using the wizard, no WIFI problems and print quality is pretty good, it's a shame that the first printer was faulty and I am concerned that Xerox service is going to be pants if I ever have to contact them again! My conclusion is that the first printer had already been used and possibly returned, the box it came in had clear sticky tape holding the top flaps closed, the rest of the tape on the box was brown packing tape. The top polystyrene packing piece was broken and the plastic bag which I cut open to remove the printer from the box had been already been opened at the other end (under the printer when in the box). Finally the lack of any protective packing strips, an empty magenta toner container and not entering the set up wizard confirmed my suspicions.I have given the printer 3 stars due to my experience with with the first one, however that is probably a bit unfair so I will use the new one for a while and then do an update to this review.Would I recommend buying one? Based on the second printer I would say yes, tempered by the very poor Xerox customer service experience.Update 02/10/2022Second printer works OK, easy to set up and print quality is excellent. To save on paper, the printer defaults to double sided printing, print speed is fast as well. Despite problems with the first printer, the performance of the second one is good enough to increase my rating to 5 stars.

Very impressive printer
I've had this printer for the past few weeks and it's proved most impressive. The print quality is superb, the time-to-print is quick, and the controls and software are straight-forward and effective.I've two quibbles, and both are very small: the cost of toner ain't cheap (but this can be said of most laser printers), and I've had to re-install the printer once, due to it getting confused by having both USB and Wi-fi inputs. All in all, great value for the money.

Best budget printer I’ve had
Better than any HP printers I had. Quieter, quicker, better quality, longer lasting ink, prints all the time on wireless but HP was temperamentalEdit:On May 14th 2023 printer has a fault in less than a year. 100.25A error and can no longer print. The star rating reduced from 5 to 4 star because Amazon arranged a collection and their service was great. Picture of error attached.

Works with Linux
This printer is heavier and larger than I expected but set up was pretty straightforward. We've not put much through it yet but it was easy enough to configure with Linux mint using Linux drivers available on Xerox's website. This printer is much faster than our previous Canon inkjet and primarily bought to save on ink costs. Happy with the product so far having owned it a couple of weeks.

Very pleased with this
Printer was very easy to setup, needed a bit of power to pull all the shipping braces off. They are very nicely marked with red streamers that hang out side the box so you dont miss any.Print quality is superb, I am really pleased with it.Worked immediately from iphone, installed without any drivers on OSX and on windows.Just no fuss really good printer. No hesitation is recommending it

Just don't....
Hideous printer in all respects. Print quality is awful, blurred, rubbish. Refill costs astronomical. I honestly thought you couldn't go wrong with this company - more fool me!
