Best Chess Set Ever 4X Professional Chess Set with Weighted Staunton Pieces

Everything is great quality. The silicone board is soft and supple and was in perfect condition. There were no creases and the pieces were solid and well made. Be advised though that the pieces are really big, probably about a third as big again compared to the standard piece size.

Decent quality set - I don’t mind that it is plastic and that was a concern I had. The pieces in the 4x weighted are massive, which is something I didn’t realise when I bought the set. I’d actually prefer them to be smaller and the same weight but that’s probably my fault for not checking. I will still play with them. Silicon mat is decent, seems very durable and malleable. The bag just about fits the pieces in. You need the box to carry them around anyway because they are so huge. It’s a heavy bit of kit so definitely don’t buy this if you plan to be on the go with it a lot.

I know this set (4X tournament set) is getting mixed reviews, but honestly? I can't really fault it! I too would like the pieces to be even heavier, but then I suppose they'd cost more! All the pieces look fantastic (and, yes, I was sent the Knights with the correct, slightly wilder manes which drew me to the set in the first place!) and none are broken or missing. They are large and imposing.... exactly what I wanted after years of playing on a tiny travel set that I inherited as a kid. The weights are adequate and not loose in the bases so far. The felt bottoms are also fine. There are thankfully few creases in the silicone board, but there are some. Not looking like it'll affect play too much though. They're just annoying. It certainly looks like they need to figure out a fold free way of delivering the boards! All in all, a really nice looking set if, like me, you wanted something just a little different from the standard old style of pieces! Yes they're plastic, yes, they'll mark up over time. But treat them gently and they'll serve you well for years! Short of getting a Harry Potter set of actual wizard chessmen this is the best looking set you'll ever own.... ; )

This is my first silicone board and it's nice for travel and the options of board colour, but does pick up dust and hairs off surfaces quite easily but you'd expect that being silicone!! The pieces are fantastic and great to play with, my one issue is that I'd like the carry bags to be a little bigger!

I purchased the 4x new ultra heavy set. The pieces are huge and although made from a plastic/resin very high Quality. Would I say it’s the best chess set ever? Truly no, however without paying hundreds of pounds it’s fantastic.

I bought this set because my young son likes to play but gets frustrated when knocking over small light pieces by accident. This has solved the problem perfectly and he's now regained interest. It fits nicely and looks great on our glass table too.

Just got the set today and I am extremely pleased with it. The pieces are beautiful and heavily weighted. To me, the knights are one of the most important pieces for the aesthetics of a set and these knights, with the wild manes and open mouths are beautiful. All the other pieces are proportional with tall bishops and substantial rooks. I am always a little disappointed with a set that has nice or even just fair knights but puny rooks. That is not the case with this set. Only a few things could have been better, and they are all very subjective, are just my opinion, definitely are minor, and not enough to give the set anything but five stars. Here goes: the pieces are not shiny, the queen is just a little too tall I think, and the bases on the king and queen are a shade too big, almost filling up most of a 2.25 x 2.25 inch square. Everything else including the other proportions is just great. Even though the pieces have kind of a dull flat finish, there are no discernible seams. The reversible, silicone mat (black and white on one side and green and white on the other) is nice, thick, and foldable. It is a bonus even though I prefer a leather or wood board and may not use the silicone one. I have heard silicone mats need to be cleaned frequently. The Tournament 4X Weighted Pieces "Best Chess Set Ever" may not be the very best ever but it is pretty darn close for sure and was a great buy during Amazon Prime Days. I could not pass it up. I love the set.

Très franchement ce set d’échecs tient absolument toutes ses promesses. Les pièces sont impressionnantes et conséquentes de part leur poids et leur taille. Je trouve la finition excellente elles sont assez jolies et inspirent la solidité. Le tapis est pliable et ne présente aucune trace de pliure disgracieuse au déballage. Il y a une carte du fabricant qui spécifie qu’il remplacera le tapis ou des pièces abîmées si nécessaire et la procédure est expliquée. Le fabricant affirme être en mesure de corriger les défauts dans les jours suivant l’acquisition. Je n’aurai pas à tester cela. Le poids du set n’est pas négligeable mais l’encombrement est très acceptable et vous pourrez entreposer sans problème la boîte dans un placard ou une étagère. C’est vraiment un jeu confortable et confortable et conforme à ce qu’on peut trouver en club ou en tournoi Je le trouverais presque un peu trop flatteur: Bref si vous avez besoin d’un set d’échecs pour toutes les circonstances ou presque (il n’est pas fait pour un sac à dos ni pour vous suivre en avion et il est fait pour jouer sur une surface plane et régulière, ça ne tient pas sur un coin de table. Un set ottimo. Il peso dei pezzi è veramente piacevole. Le finiture sono di buona qualità e considerato il prezzo è veramente un buon prodotto; anche il piano di gioco molto grande e di buona fattura, un piccolo manuale scritto in modo simpatico. È nel complesso un set molto bello per giocare con soddisfazione e poterlo portare in giro: attenzione che comunque un set pesante nel suo complesso perché proprio quel il fine, avere dei pezzi con una sensazione molto bilanciata in mano.

Wow this is a quality set. The weight is perfect and each piece is flawless! It also came with extra queens. I had made a table top chess board that was 2’x2’ and was looking for bigger pieces that were weighted for outside and this set delivered! Im happy it came with a rubber may to fit the pieces so we can also play when it’s raining. A bit pricey even when I got it on sale but I really like it.

Estoy muy sorprendido con la calidad del producto. Compré el tamaño extra grande XL, y la verdad, por lo que he pagado (42'99€) no se puede pedir más. El producto concuerda con la descripción (los caballos y las piezas son iguales a los del anuncio, mucho mejor elaborados que las de tamaño grande). Además el color de las blancas es más bien marfil, para nada blanco, lo que es excelente si las quieres usar en un tablero de madera o similar. Pesan bastante (aunque no creo que sean 4x como dicen ellos) y son muy limpias y elegantes, sin defectos. Las bolsas para guardar las piezas son de tela muy normalita pero hace su función. El tablero de juego viene bastante doblado pero es bastante similar a otros que tengo de este estilo y si lo dejas un tiempo debajo de un tablero de madera del mismo tamaño se quedará prácticamente liso. Estaba bastante desconfiado después de leer las reseñas negativas pero ahora que lo tengo en las manos y después de revisarlo detenidamente mi opinión es excelente, imposible encontrar algo mejor a este precio.
