Easy Find Lids Food Storage Container, 14 Cup, Red 2 Pack

These are great food storage containers, but Amazon's prices are way too high. I bought one 14-cup and one 9-cup at Instacart for half the prices here.

We make a lot of soups and spaghetti sauces and stews. I was afraid I might have order some containers that would have been too large. They are a perfect size. These were a bit more expensive but nice heavy duty plastic and strong lid and appear that they should last a long time. They are solid and do not bulge when stuffed with soup. I toss these in the dishwasher and they hold up very well so cleaning is a breeze. They appear to be airtight whether in the refrigerator or in the freezer. The appearance of these is like having expensive Tupperware.

Rubbermaid is quality

Of all the Rubbermaid products I own this is the most universal of them all. It's a perfect size for the person how cooks a weeks' worth of food. It holds 17 cups!

Love these. The design of the interface of lid and container is easy to clean and makes a great seal. The tab on one corner makes it easy to open.However, be aware if you're going to freeze stuff in these, the material becomes highly brittle when frozen. I've made a hole in the bottom of one while trying to spoon apart frozen foodstuffs, and when I dropped one when removing it from the freezer, the outside edge of the container chipped off. Luckily, it didn't interfere with the ability of the lid to seal, but it's annoying that it's so fragile while frozen.

You know how You-Know-Where did away with plastic clamshells for rotisserie chickens and is now using plastic bags? You know how utterly messy and nonfunctional that is? This Rubbermaid container has solved that problem for me. I just slide that chicken out of the bag along with the drippings and into this container. It's a perfect fit; I don't even have to squish the chicken down in order to seal the container.I still hate the plastic bag, which can't be recycled. But aside from changing food clubs to get the plastic clamshell, which I'd rather not do, this is working well for me.Overall, I prefer the Rubbermaid containers over other brands, many of which are cheaper -- but break easily (especially the lids). These are sturdy containers, and the lids snap together for easy, space-saving storage.PS -- I see a few reviews that indicate the labels are a nightmare to get off. I have a cabinet full of Rubbermaid containers (3 - 4 dozen?) in various sizes and I've never, ever had a hard time removing the labels. They just pull off. I've never tried to use water to remove them and wonder if that makes them more difficult. I have, however, had difficulty removing labels and adhesive residue from other products/brands; Goo Gone works magic with those in a very short amount of time.
