Utopia Crafts Re-Cotton Knitting Yarn, 100g (Soft Pink)

I'm new to crochet and this is the first time I've used cotton.It's really lovely to work with it did split occasionally but overall it wasn't a problem. It's very soft and I like the range of colours. It feels very soft and yet firm enough for my bag to keep it's shapeIt's excellent value for money and I've already ordered more coloursVery happy with my purchase

I was apprehensive about this yarn after reading some of the reviews, but I'm glad I purchased it. I have the Aqua colour just now and it is paler than the product photography, but it's lovely. Also as another reviewer mentioned, it is a little bit splitty, but I do find that with a lot of cotton yarns. I didn't find that a great hindrance. I have added a close up of my work and I think it crochet up nicely.It says on the band that it's eco friendly "aran," but in the item description aran is not mentioned, and attention should be paid to the item description which IS accurate. I am using a 4mm metal crochet hook. This will split the yarn less than a wooden or plastic one.

Yarn arrived promptly, yarn does split a bit, but it’s such a good price for cotton that I don’t mind. I’ve bought several times. Nice & soft. Not as easy as some yarns to work with because of the splitting, but not a major problem. I’ve probably been a bit mean giving 4 stars!

I really love the colour of the yarn and it is quite easy to work with, but it is not usable for all projects...i crochet amigurumi, clothing and bags, and the only thing this is useful for is bags, its really not great as a wearable yarn..

This crochet is cheap and good for the price.I have used this yarn for crocheting and latch hook and for both have struggled with how it easily frays and also is rather thin.I would not use for clothing or a blanket as rather rough.but does feel strong for a bag.For latch hook it is not the strongest and does come loose fairy easily. Although do love the end result with this yarn, as it frays so easily it makes the rug look fuller and softer.The colours though are gorgeous and for the price quite nice to use when you just want to crochet for no real purpose.

I am very happy with this yarn. It is a lovely colour and soft.I have made a couple of face cloths with it, and it was very nice to crochet with.Definnitely recommended.

I love this yarn. It’s such a soft yarn and the colour is really nice. It’s easy to use and can be speedy! I crochet with it and have used it for lots of projects. Good value for money.

I used this yarn to crochet some home goods. Love the colours, it's soft enough for cotton (which is never all that soft) but tough enough to be used for harder wearing projects like placemats (also cotton is heat resistant) but the yarn did split on multiple occasions making it frustrating to work with at times.

The colour is much lighter and less intense and the thread is horrible to work with... it falls apart all the time and I've read the reviews and also used a metal needle 4mm and no use. it takes three times more to finish a project. I had great expectations but unfortunately not met.

The yarn is 80% cotton and has a nice feel bit it's quite thin and it unravels into a few strands which makes it difficult to work with. Also, the colour is way more grey than brown (as it looks on the picture) and that's disappointing.
