Sci-fi fantasy in exotica.
First I like the sci-fi of this storyline. But I will say the the graphic sex scenes where over the top for me. I just had to skip most of them. The plot was good but the H was overbearing in his relationship with a very young woman on the cusp of life even though he is an alien.

Better than good
I really enjoyed this trilogy and I'm going to confess that I went into it with the negative reviews in mind. I have a habit of always going to the 1 and 2 star reviews first as I tend to believe that they tend to be the most honest. That being said I didn't find it all to be "rapey" at all, I saw it as an alien who was determined to get what he wanted and used less than moral (by our standards) means of doing so. He didn't have to abide by human laws so he did what he liked. The first book was by far the best, in that it set the stage for the subsequent realizations by Korum just how much it meant for Mia to make her own decisions and come to her own conclusions about her feelings and how much she would have to give up to be with him. The second and third books built on that. He was the definition of an alpha male and she was a strong female (in her circumstances). What I had a problem with was with the sex, well not the act itself but the MINDBLOWING amount of REPETITION involved. I'm sorry but having an orgasm the first time you have sex with an over endowed alien, an orgasm is the last d--- thing this is going to happen especially since the pain was described as painfully overwhelming. I don't see why writers seem to think that the first time a woman has sex that there is going to be a "slight pinch" and then absolute heaven. In my experience and other women I have talked to, this is NOT the case (I'm sorry it just irks me to no end and a bit of realism is in order (as my eyes roll back into my head so often, I think they will stay that way, end rant). Furthermore I think that the phrases "mind shattering ", "exploding into a million pieces ", "screaming"(while in the throes of an orgasm) and other stupid overused descriptors should be outlawed and a thesaurus be used to beat writers who can't or won't find other words to use. I understand that Korum was highly sexed but come on, on every other page?I liked the world building and would like to see more of it in future books. Like what the government officials did, describe the Great Panic, what happened in other countries and the like. I like details, it gives me more of a connection to what I am reading and an idea of what the characters have experienced or are going through. I would also like to see more from the heroes perspective. What I didn't like was Mia's constant whining about "intelligent beings" being killed. It happens, get over it. Quit complaining about it. Also humanity is not at the point where it would benefit the planet by extending their lives or sharing the technology. It seemed like a cop out in the end. I would have preferred that the Elders were more prudent on that matter. So all in all I really enjoyed this story and I look forward to more like this. I am new to this genre, I prefer books by the GREAT Stephen King. I signed up for kindle unlimited and although this book isn't offered there, I have found that good storytelling (without grammatical, spelling errors and basic sentence structure) are few and far between. I would definitely recommend this trilogy.

too intense
what I disliked were the disgusting love scenes. they were almost porn. Not to my liking at all. However on a lighter note - the storyline itself was quite good and interesting enough, it held my interest. I just bypassed the nasty.! - a very interesting premise.

A fun, well written read, but what happened to her family?
I think Ms.Zaires gives gives her characters a voice that one can actually 'hear' while reading and as an amateur writer I realize how difficult it can be for an author.I did enjoy the read, but they had sex so often I didn't have time to look forward to these scenes. Finally, the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars;I felt let down that there was no epilogue telling us what happens to Mia's sister & husband & her folks.Did they look younger with time? What about the baby, did her sister have to give birth before being given the nanocytes?Where did they live & what did they do with their lives?I can't be the only one that's curious, enquiring minds want to know & Ms. Zaires, you do sequels so well.

A must read if you love romance that is out of this world!
After reading the first volume for free, I had to buy the 2nd and 3rd. Excellent! The volumes flow seamlessly into the other with out of this world experience, sex and love. The Chronicles opens you to a world being taken over by a super advance race of alien vampires, Krinars, who's aim it first seems is to guide human evolution. Mia and Korum's romance begins like a race against time, that blooms into a fiery hot love that spans two worlds.I found myself in constant awe at the imagination that Zaires evokes. The way she describes even the simplest of things like an intelligent shower was mind blowing. The Ks, an advanced alien are beyond beautiful, strong and sexy! Korum is ultra K with sex appeal above 100 decibels. He is passionate, trustworthy, strong, egotistical and demanding. He knows what he wants and makes it a duty to tell Mia what she needs, all the time. His need for control is not of this earth, literally. He ravishes her on mountain tops and crowded night clubs with use of the K technology, even in a zero gravity room! I'm telling you this man is no Christian. He is more! His love for Mia however is what the book is about. Just a man seeing this big blue eyed, curly hair girl and helping her transition into a passion fillled woman, who can do nothing but melt at his simplest of touch. Her response to him is like moth to a flame. Their lives become so in sync that there is no separating them, even after a memory swipe. The level of writing is as usual outstanding. Zaires is definitely here to stay! You will definitely enjoy reading this trilogy.

3.5!
I think I was really hooked on the first part of the series, but once I got into the 2nd it felt a little lagging. Then the 3rd act finally recaptured me Especially since what I was thinking in the very beginning about the invasion came back up.I was very much surprised at what the last 2 pages of this story showed me, like crazy...but is it really. Now I wondering what is really going on and why do all this? Like what is the end game? But enough about the end.Korum is very possessive and you see that throughout the trilogy, which can lead to a lot of arguments but also helpfully when a enemy is trying to end him. Mia can be a little annoying at times, but I had to remember that she is technically not getting a choice in a lot of things pertaining to her life.Overall a good story and I had a good time reading it. Especially with how much spice Korum has with her, haha! I kept wondering if at any point would she become pregos, because I guess alien races never have to use protection during spicy time. Hahaha!

Sadly but not for me...
I couldn't wait to read this series! It was on my TBR from ages and even after I got it on my kindle I wasn't ready to read it for me it was one of those series that will take all my attention and emotions on a very twisty rollercoaster ride! But it wasn't the case it just wasn't for me I couldn't make myself like the heroine and being at first on the hero side he lost my attention soon enough as well. I love alien books and I love strong alpha men who want to possessed women only for themselves but this series didn't give me that. I didn't feel the chemistry between the main characters and even sex which I absolutely love in books (if it's good) simply didn't rock my boat at all I get it he was big I don't need to read every single time how he was hitting her cervix and stretching her tight little channel... simply not my cup of tea and I really really wanted to like if not love this series... plus the ending was just too perfect too sweet too stickyI really don't like to give bad reviews as I respect all Authors and I can only imagine that writing a book and coming up with story and twists is not easy but for me this series wasn't special and I couldn't give it 4 stars but it's definitely 3.5 starsI'm sure many people would love it but it just wasn't for me still in time I will give this author a go as her other series are on my kindle but similar like this one I was putting it for later and later as too good to read now hopefully I will get more into them than I did into this one

Odd Mixture
I had never read this author and the three volumes were being sold cheaply and why not give it a try.I have read the first volume and think it unlikely that I will read the remaining two.Earth has been conquered by an alien species. They are fairly benevolent and set about putting right what the human race has messed up in the environment.Mia an extremely naive college student encounters and becomes involved with an alien. If it were not for the many and explicit scenes of sex, something like 10 in this first volume, I would say it had been written for young adults.

Worth a Read
An unusual read for me, this trilogy mixes erotica with sci fi and I must say that I really was engrossed from the start. Although there is lot of sex in the books, there is also a great plot which is well structured and I do so love good grammar and spelling in books! The general plot and developing relationships between Mia and Korum and the humans and Krinars had me philosophising a bit, which was actually fun. So not just a wee series about an alien invasion at all: I am not telling, but I like the ideas offered by Anna Zaires! This is something to keep in my Kindle library for another read in the future for sure.

Addictive, imaginative and sexy. Just brilliant!
I’ve just finished reading this series and I couldn’t put it down. It was a mix of all the kind of romantic fiction and I like with a good splash of science fiction the own in. Like 50 shades meets Twilight meets Southern vampire mysteries meets Star Trek. Intelligently written with believable characters and wonderfully imaginative sci-fi/futuristic tech and a likeable heroine. Probably the best alien fic that I’ve read on Kindle in years. I wish there was more of Mia and Korum.

Fantastic
This is definitely worth the five stars I have given it. I loved the characters of Mia and Korum, a young Earth girl and a (not so young) gorgeous alien man. They have various relationship problems to contend with, plus some scary adventures. There is also romance with lots of hot sex. Phew! I have read a lot of books by this author Anna Zaires and I consider her one of the best writers of this style of fiction around. Her characters are so believable you can’t help getting engrossed in their lives. Please let’s have lots more.
