Geo-Fix Stone Protector, Invisible Sealer For Natural Stone And Paving, Clear, 1 Litre

Bought this to seal an impossible black limestone floor. Over the past years I tried everything to get the floor to look good, but nothing worked.As a last ditch attempt I resorted to acid etching it by hand to a lovely grey tone. Anyone with this flooring knows that most sealers on the market would bring back the black colour. I wanted to keep it the lovely soft grey I'd achieved. To my joy the floor did not revert to being black. The finish is dead flat and matt & it does not alter the colour, so if this is what you want this product is excellent.Took a risk and applied it to a floor with UFH which was on!Don't advise this, however despite it the product sank into the floor and has created a good seal.I applied it liberally with a sponge and did several coats as the stone was extremely porous after etching.It's very easy to apply.Water beads on the surface, but if left it does appear to sink into the stone, however this product gives it time to be wiped away.No marks are left after wiping. I'm impressed by the quality and the price as similar products I have bought in the past are ridiculously expensiveand not one of them has done the job as well as this product.It's early days so things might change, but so far I am really pleased I bought this product.

Excellent proce & speedy delivery. I used a small paintbrush to spread ths on kitchen/hall floor. Went on fine and left it to dry. Seems fine. I have not tested how good it is but then I don't spill liquids on the floor unless by accident. It has a slight odour when in use so should wear a mask. I am pleased with results seen so far.

Just applied this Fluid to my kitchen floor. Cleaned the grout with a stiff brush scrubber then steamed the tiles. Applied the Geo-Fix over about half the floor using a paint pad. Ensured that there were no standing fluid puddles. After about thirty minutes applied a second coat. Very easy to apply and I seemed to get a nice even coverage. Then did the same to the remaining area It all looks very good and so far very happy with the result. It is almost matt like the original finish. Waited about 4 hours to be sure the floor was dry and replaced the kitchen chairs, bin etc. There was no smell or fumes so ideal really. We will hopefully see results that we will be happy with. If it works over a reasonable time it was a great product at a great price.

As per title, I was slightly sceptical of the very watery nature of the sealer as it was being applied and when it dried the stone looked identical to before. When grouting around the stone later though I noticed how the lime mortar just wiped straight off the top surface of the stone leaving no trace behind... a week or two later, a vase full of water fell onto the stone and smashed; the water bounced straight off leaving just a few little beads as you get on a highly polished car.In short, it seems ideal - doesn't change the appearance of the stone (I was using it on highly porous sandstone) or smell strongly and yet seems to effectively prevent ingress of water into the stone. It's also very reasonably priced...

Product is great, easy to use and effective. Unfortunately it is only sold in large containers and I only needed sealer for one tile.

I wish that someone had told me how fussy terracotta floor tiles are before I laid 15m2 (absorbant as a sponge and mark easily). So, to make the best of the job I knew that the tiles had to be sealed and that's where I went on a big learning curve!Some of these natural tile sealers are £20 or £30 for a litre and so I was pleasantly surprised at the low price for Everbuild Natural Stone and Tile Sealer (1 Litre). Such good value that I bought two.Initially I thought that I had been scammed because the clear liquid does not have much smell to it, if any, and it's almost like water. I applied it easily to a terracotta tile with an ordinary clean paintbrush and left it to dry for about an hour. Brilliant. No discolouring of the tile and water droplets just sat on the surface when I tested it.Highly recommended.

My first time for using any sort of Stone Protector fluid was last year when I was not 'up with the tricks of the trade'. I had an area approx. 15 sq. mtrs to do and although not sure of how far the amount purchased would spread (yes, I read the coverage etc., on the container) proceeded to be fairly liberal with the 'dosage' and found that 2-21/2 ltrs was sufficient leaving me enough for this year's once-over which I managed to complete before rain the following day ! Doing it during a very warm morning and not taking too much time in hours spent, the application was very easy onto the previously power-washed stone slabs which although not really grimy, still had the usual 'greenish tinge' and here I'd like to think the fluid membrane laid down last year had indeed done its job. Within a matter of 2/3 hours the area was dry and ready for use. As mentioned earlier, it did rain overnight and so left a few small puddles in some of the undulating slab surfaces but these were easily disposed of from the protected area. Only down side, hence 1 star off - no reflection on the product - on the basis of keeping the protection going I shall have to get some more and do it all over again next year !!

I’ve used a lot of stone sealers over the years to protect my limestone kitchen floor and outdoor terracotta tables. This is by far the best,1. It’s cheap. Don’t let that put you off. I’ve used stuff 5 times the price and this stuff is by far the best.2. It’s odorless and solvent free.3. Stone looks EXACTLY the same after the sealer has dried as before it was applied. It doesn’t change the colour at all or the appearance. It dries to exactly the finish the stone had before.
