Great taste, value a bit tough
The inital smell opening the package reminded me of the spaghetti sauce that you would get in lunchables so I wasn't super enthused, but the flavor is much better once the meal is warmed up. It has a great chunky (meaty) flavor that's slightly sweet. Being made of chickpeas also has me impressed as I couldn't really taste them in the macaroni. It's made of completely organic ingredients so it's a bit healtier and more natural than their non organic counterparts. It's got some additional nutrition like calcium, potassium and iron which is great for growing kids. You get a serving of veggies with every meal so even picky kids wouldn't mind this. The sodium content is reasonable for a serving at 220mg and 8g of protein. Quick to prep and good base for lunch, you can add some additional meatballs or spices to enhance the flavor. Ready out of the microwave in about a minute, just open the package, pull back the tray seal and pop it in the microwave. The pacakage that these meals were packaged in were labeled organic baby food, but this is obviously geared towards young children, so it's a bit incisistent. it's also got perforations to allow easy access to the packs on a shelf, so good convenience feature. Overall, good flavor and a healthy choice for a quick, easy to prep meal, though it's quite pricy at the time of request. You get 8 meals total with the price being $36 makes it nearly $5 per tray.

Tastes good, but looks awful
This is very quick and easy to prepare for your toddler which is great. The flavor is pretty tasty, very similar to a burrito. The problem is that the food itself looks very unappetizing. My toddler would not even try it. I know she would love the taste if she tried it, but she refused. If your kid isn’t picky with how things look this would be a great healthy meal for them.

I wanted to like it but......
I was hoping this would fill a void in my meal planning but it doesn't really fit the bill on several levels. So lets cut to the chase.Pros:- Packaging is convenient.- Portion size is right for kids and someone on a reduced calorie diet.- Microwaving this makes a quick meal for someone on the go or even a meal for packaged lunch.Cons:- Unless your kids already eat Quinoa they may not like this. Adding season salt helps with the flavor.- Not a good as a homemade dish of similar composition, but then again, what is.- Value for money isn't really there.- Tasted dry and wasn't very flavorable.Final Conclusion: It does fit a nitch market but at the end of the day, for the money/value, I can make more of the same in greater portions and stow in freezer in server-size portions for a quarter of the price, and it taste much better. As mentioned earlier, adding Season Salt helps, so do add seasoning where desired. I don't think I would get this product again for myself and family.Disclaimer: Received this product to review under the Amazon Vine program.

Good flavor, texture, and flexibility
Sprout Organics Mealz Quinoa Veggie Bowl comes in a microwave tray. Peel a corner of the top plastic and pop it in the microwave for 45 to 60 seconds. 45 seconds was enough for it to be heated, but not burn. Mine did explode in the microwave. So this is an adult taste test. Your mileage may vary if your kid eats this. The texture is soft mushy squash and tomatoes, with chunks of sweet carrots, green beans, and black beans. I couldn't find the mushrooms in both taste and texture. There are pops of texture for the quinoa and beans. I didn't need salt and it's got a nice sweetness to it. Pretty tasty and even my spouse, who loves quinoa, enjoyed it.There's a good amount of fiber and some protein, so Quinoa Veggie Bowl is quite filling for 180 calories. If your kid doesn't eat it, it's good calorie counting food. Make it a bigger meal with a serving of rice, pasta, chopped greens, or your protein of choice. Cheese would be a tasty pairing as well. Not 5 stars as it is pricey, not as pretty as the photo, and it made a mess in my microwave.

Cant say on flavor, I didn't eat them.
Ordered these to feed to my son and he seemed to like them well enough. They smell okay to me, but I didn't try it myself. Every kid is going to like different things, but these being organic is a bonus if your kid likes the flavor like mine seemed to.
