The dogs don't really appreciate having their ears filled with liquid, but they put up with it, and the with the ensuing removal of deposits with cotton buds or ear wipes, mainly because they get a treat and some relief from irritation. This Clear Ears fluid is intended to be used daily and left in to do its work, but we have tried it combined with the wipes treatment as well. Used as a cleaner, it is very similar to other makes, although the ingredients do vary, but it might be gentler in action, so we are trying it as instructed, and so far, it seems to be working.We fill each ear daily, and the trick is to get the second ear done before the head-shaking starts. I try to do it before a walk in the morning, and he is beginning to realise it's not so bad having just the fluid - not much different from the clearit powder he sometimes has. It's easy to dispense the watery fluid from the closable nozzle on the bottle, but hard to judge how much has been administered, especially if you are doing it quickly to head off protests. I just give one good squeeze and hope it's enough.I'll possibly update after a longer period of use.

This item arrived in good time, minimally and ecologically packaged in cardboard medium packaging. It has a very faint fragrance, that is not inoffensive. The liquid feels like a mix of saline and some type of oil(s).I allowed my two large rescues the time to investigate what I was holding out in my hands, before slowly approaching them, palms open and facing upwards. They both appeared as happy as they were when I first arrived where they had been playing.Rapid single squeeze in each ear of the pair of them, 2 Bonio later. After a rigorous and overly dramatic head and body shake, they came straight back to me, tails wagging. Seemingly revitalised by this small deed. They proceeded to play ball and tug of war with me.Next morning, what do you know? Fairly big waxy globs just inside their ears, within easy reach and easily removed with a few cotton buds or one double sided cotton wool pad or some gauze. They are both definitely hearing me and reacting a lot quicker to my voice, now. Both dogs are partially sighted, too. So this appears to be assisting their senses and general quality of living. Neither have any adverse skin reactions or other reactions, since using this product. They were not on any medications or supplements, at the time of testing this product. They are very large size and weighted mix breed canines. So I do not know how the product fairs on smaller dogs. So I would advise thoroughly reading product description and ingredients, plus as many reviews on this product as possible, before using on your canine companions. For canines known to have poor immuno responses, I would talk with your vetinary practice first, just as a precaution.

She is fine with having her tail lifted, paw pads touched and massaged and lets us wipe her under carriage without a fuss. The one thing she absolutely hates though is having her ears cleaned.Sadly a couple of days ago she started scratching her head, telling us it was time for a dreaded cleaning.Now I can't say that this product cured all her fears, however it did make cleaning a fair bit easier. Even with a small amount deposited in the ear canal, it did a great job of clearing out any gunk. Which is great, as our girl will bolt as soon as the first couple of drops hit, even with 2 people holding her, and with treats readily available. It smells pleasantly thanks to the eucalyptus, so if you spill a bit on your hands, it doesn't immediately have you running for the sink. Now, half a day later our girl seems her happy self again, without any itchy ears.The only issue I have is that this product should supposedly be used each and every day to be most effective. Considering the above, I don't feel comfortable doing that to my pup and would rather opt for a product that is effective over a longer period of time.
