Just the job!
I fell over in my brand new very expensive running jacket and tore small holes in it in several places. I contacted the jacket manufacturers who recommended these. They’ve worked a treat and kept the water out.

No more wet socks!
Pleased with the patches and it worked on my wellies - no more wet socks! However, because the split is where the foot bends (and I live in my wellies), it only lasted a couple of weeks, so I took off the old patch and put on another one. I used it with Stormsure glue but I think it needs a heavier duty patch.

Great repair of a torn running jacket
Great repair of a torn running jacket. Put one patch on the inside and another on the outside. Seems to have worked fine. Been washed several times and still firmly in place. Much cheaper than a new jacket! Arrived by first class post the next day. Great buy all round!

Won't buy again.
I've previously used the McNett patches and was really impressed with them. The clear ones, in particular, were transparent enough no one ever notices them. I really can't say the same about these Stormsure patches. They look very filmy and are quite obvious on the coat I used one on. Looks pretty bad. Additionally, they weren't anywhere near as easy to apply as the Mcnett versions. They were too floppy and sticky and just ended up being very difficult to lay flat on a jacket surface. The McNett ones are a little more rigid and therefore apply really easily. I'm going to have to tear off the one I applied and order the McNett versions now. I've not rated them lower as I imagine they are waterproof and they're definitely stretchy, which could be very good for some applications. For my needs, though, I'll just go straight for the others next time.

Did the job
Managed to mend a rear in a puffer jacket. Quite fiddly to remove the backing paper.

Don't stick well to my wellies.....
I've used several patches on the same hole on my right wellington boot. They keep falling off. I am rubbing with 400 grit sandpaper first to make a good surface for sticking but to no avail (I did try at first by just cleaning with isopropyl alcohol, but that didn't work either). Might be ok on a hole in the upper part of the boot but lets be honest, that's not where holes will appear. They will almost certainly appear as a crack in an area that creases when you walk and therein lies the problem - these patches are not resilient to 'creasing' when your boot bends and they come unstuck. Might be good for other applications but not welly repair, at least not for me.

Great product - does exactly what it says
These were brilliant - not sure they would work as instructed but they did and it has held for 2 months now. Very pleased and impressed!
