The Frugal Wizard's Handbook for Surviving Medieval England (Secret Projects)

Gripping from beginning to end, full of sly humor, incredibly tight plot and excellent character development. I haven't read something this entertaining in a LONG time and finished it in a few days (it usually takes me weeks to finish a book, I'm a slow reader!). Ending is super satisfactory, and most of the characters are likable--even some of the villains! Great sci-fantasy concept executed beautifully, and the satire throughout is on point. Incredibly fun read!

Sanderson once again branches out from his epic worlds to build a new world and story. It is definitely a fun kind of who dun it read but not necessary at all if one is only interested in his Cosmere

I didn’t think I was going to like it. Turns out it was another great story . Brandon Sanderson did not disappoint.

This book was part of the four secret projects that Brandon Sanderson put out in 2023. Because he was able to self publish the secret projects, they are far more clever, charming, goofy, imaginative, and more true to what feels like Brandon Sanderson‘s personality & writing style then when he’s writing under the thumb of a publishing company.This book was so clever and imaginative, and I couldn’t put it down. It made me laugh, it made me tear up, and it reinforces how much I enjoy all things Brandon Sanderson.

I got this book based on good reviews however using the kindle version is clumsy at best. The book links the reader to YouTube videos and when you do the you leave the book. But having the book alongside the videos is necessary. So get the paper version of the book so you can refer to it when watching the videos. The book is good just not in kindle format

Sanderson has a knack for writing and it’s immersive. This is a shortish story that’s not as heavy as most of his books. Overall a cool concept.

Fun and interesting read- thoroughly enjoyable. All the puzzle pieces get put together at the end so don’t give up.

Loving the hardbacks for these books!
