Add flair to an old case
These LEDs are really good if you want to add a touch of flair to an old or new case.

I wish I could in good conscious give this a higher rating but....
I wish I could in good conscious give this a higher rating but....Although the HUE+ is a great piece of kit and the software although ugly does work better than its competitors, The strips are temperamental and brittle.I've had two packs of these (One as a replacement for the first) and the original 4 strips that come with the HUE+, To date only 2 out 8 are still working correctly! They have suffered from a variety of issues, but most have failed through broken LED's. Once an LED in the chain breaks it effects all Leds after it in the strip stopping them producing the colour you ask them to. I should point out the strips are known to be a bit flimsy, But all of mine have failed months after fitting without any handling.NZXT to their credit have a fantastic customer service and will normally respond quickly offering replacements (with proof of purchase). But i'd much prefer a product that doesn't break in the first place. The postives are that the colour production is excellent, in particular the white is very impressive. It looks like a daylight pure white with no colour bleed from the other RGB colours.ProsQuite brightGood colour productionNZXT CAM software is very goodLots of effects and fully customizableConsVery poor durabilityI have just enough functioning strips to light my PC at the mo, but I won't be buying anymore and looking at the similar kits from Corsair etc

Excellent- great for cheap flair
Recieved, in very professional packaging. High quality- the cable is sleeved well and no damage. For those new to the building that are worried about touching the board- put the antistat band away. The board isn't sensitive equipment, just a power circuit.Installation is notably easy. NZXT provides clips you can use to route the cable anywhere you want throughout the case. These clips can be fiddly to work with, but with practice you can fit them anywhere. The main board/powerswitch fits in the standard I/O back port (where the graphics card/wireless antenna links to the outer case) and is controlled from that port on the outside. My advice is to put it anywhere that won't be used anytime soon, but still allows you to both route the power cable tidily and reach the power button. I put mine on the very bottom port. This allowed me to keep the case tidy, but it's a pain whenever I want to turn the lights off!Once installed and routed, you can turn it on and revel in the huge amounts of light it gives off. This thing is BRIGHT- on full power it makes my machine look like some kind of flux capacitor. Routed right (with the LEDs facing the right way), you could probably put it underneath the motherboard, around the drive bay, wherever you want, and it'd make the case look great. In conclusion, a must-buy, especially at this price.

A few niggles but otherwise very good looking, neat way to install case lighting.
Good stuff:-Looks great, very easy to install as it comes with some discrete black clips to keep the wire in place.-Fair price-Control panel is a nice touch but it does require a spare PCI/e expansion slot in your case though it doesn't require an actual PCI/e slot as it is powered by a 4-pin connector from your PSU.Bad Stuff:-The cable which connects the circuit board to the power could have been a bit longer for me but it isn't stupidly short (~6in)-The circuit board ever so slightly collides with a PCI (note: NOT PCIe) slot but it does still fit with a bit of persuasion and slight flex- The LEDs, as you might expect, are all fixed in the direction they point so what they shine on is determined by how you mount it. They're also too stiff for me to dare alter with this but I suspect that if you were prepared to mess around with the sleeving you might be able to change their angle.

Great for adding some character to your rig.
You can use this LED kit to give your custom PC some character without looking tacky like red, blue or green LEDs. I've got a window in my PC and obviously wanted to show off my excellent cable management and clean PC and these were great. The box contains the following:The expansion slot cover with all the techno bits. The LED strip, which is detachable from the expansion slot through a small connector. This is useful as it makes the process less fiddly to install the expansion slot. Some sticky pads to attach the LED strip to your PC case. The product fits into an expansion port on your PC, and is powered by a molex connector. These are present on almost any power supply. My first LED cable had two failed LEDs on it, the seller was quick to respond to me inquiring about this and sent out another replacement product and even let me keep the old one. The seller I used was of top standard and delivered very quickly, obviously this does not reflect the actual product but I thought I'd add this.My only complaint would be that the molex connector is a bit too short to be able to hide it using some of the case's cable management holes, even in NZXT's own Phantom 410 case, so molex connectors are visible. This is purely an aesthetic complaint and doesn't impact the product's performance at all.
