I’ve really enjoyed these Caffè Borbone pods. The coffee has a rich, strong flavour and a nice aroma, without tasting too bitter. They’re very convenient to use and make a good cup of coffee quickly. I also like that the flavour is consistent from one cup to the next. Overall, I’m very happy with them and would buy them again.

Very good and creamy coffee

In my opinion these don’t contain enough Caffeine so I need 2 of them for a cup of coffee first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and still don’t feel the ‘caffeine hit’. But in my opinion I drink too much so I’m probably immune!Apart from that, the taste is quite strong and I got them for a decent price.One of the pictures is before coffee extraction and the other pic is after the extraction.It’s quite convenient, no need to grind, then fill the filter with coffee then clean after. Simply just bin the coffee bag.If you’re looking for something with a strong strong caffeine hit I don’t think this is the product for you.

Really love the Borbone range i like the variety, all good tasting coffee, after much searching these are the ese pods I will be reordering as required.

Very disppointed, the pod is too compact, water will not easily pass through forcing the basket to disconnect all other paper coffe pods in the past years have been very successful.

Ich kenne die rote Mischung (*Miscela Rossa*) von Caffè Borbone bereits aus der Arbeit und wusste genau, worauf ich mich einlasse. Im Vergleich zur blauen Sorte merkt man hier direkt den deutlich höheren Robusta-Anteil: Der Kaffee ist spürbar kräftiger, markanter und hat extrem viel eigenen Charakter. Wer einen super weichen Allrounder sucht, greift lieber zu Blau. Wer aber einen echten, durchsetzungsstarken Espresso schätzt, wird Rot lieben.Ich trinke ihn am liebsten als Cappuccino. Durch die kräftige Note setzt er sich genial gegen die Milch durch und zaubert mit meiner La Piccola Piccola eine fantastische, dichte Crema in die Tasse.Wichtig für Einsteiger: Das sind E.S.E.-Pads (Easy Serving Espresso) und keine herkömmlichen, losen Kaffeepads (wie bspw. von Senseo). Sie haben nur 44 mm Durchmesser und das Espressopulver ist fest komprimiert, da das E.S.E.-System anders als typische Großraum-Padmaschinen mit echtem Druck arbeitet.Die Handhabung im Alltag ist unschlagbar sauber: Pad rein in die La Piccola, Knopf drücken, genießen und das Pad danach einfach entsorgen. Kein Herumkleckern mit Kaffeemehl, kein Aufwand.Ein Punkt zum Thema Nachhaltigkeit: Die Pads selbst sind zwar kompostierbar, allerdings ist jedes Pad einzeln in einer aluminiumhaltigen Schutzfolie verpackt. Um das Aroma perfekt frisch zu halten, mag das funktionieren, aber ökologisch ist dieser Verpackungsmüll natürlich fragwürdig. Das muss man ganz klar kritisieren.**Fazit:** Geschmacklich ein ehrlicher, starker Espresso für alle, die ein kräftiges Profil mögen. Perfekt für den Kick am Morgen oder als Basis für Cappuccino. Bis auf den Einzelverpackungsmüll ein top Produkt, das ich definitiv wieder bestellen werde!

The flavor is good. At first it seemed a bit bitter but after a few days I really like the flavor! It has a very good crema! I had to adjust to a slightly different flavor than I was used to with another well known coffee. But I love the biodegradable packaging as well! I will be ordering it again!

I have purchased these pods many times and they don't dissappoint. Be patient and wait for the sales....I always purchase the 150 pack. For the price you cant go wrong. Nice robust flavor...zero bitterness.
