I bought this so I could have multiple eye-piece setups and plan to buy a third one too. I have one with a DK-17M magnifying 1.2x eye-piece/DK-19 and one with just a DK-17F/Dk-19. Sometimes usually when using the D5 with my longer lenses like my 400mm f2.8 VRII it's nice to have the 1.2x magnifying eye-piece attachment for critical focus as depth of field is so slight with that lens. Being able to quickly switch out the two different setups is very nice. Or if yours went missing or is getting beat-up its a cheap and easy way to make the camera look new again, at least there!

Achtung: Abweichend zur Abbildung ist das Okularglas nicht enthalten. Dieses muss separat erworben werden! Ich habe mir den Adapter gekauft, um schnell und ohne Fummelei das Standardokular gegen das Lupenokular wechseln zu können. Dies funktioniert wie erwartet.

Does not come complete. Missing rubber eye piece

It is a replacement part. I like to have two, one as a standard and another with different accessories, like DK-19, etc. Just beware that it does NOT contain the glass viewfinder (DK-17) you have to buy it separately
