Morton Coarse Kosher Salt, 3 lbs., dark blue

The salt is nice flakes that grind well in my salt grinder.The box was quite beat up at the corners and was leaking salt when I received it. I had to tape the bottomcorners. Maybe a bit more care with packaging…it just came unprotected in a mailing bag.

I bought this salt for a different purpose. I clean my cast iron pans with this. It works wonders. All sticky bits come off within 1-2 minutes of scrubbing and doesn’t take much energy or effort. This salt is also helping me maintain the high maintenance cast iron pans I own.

Good cooked in or sprinkled on top. Decent price, good for adding to the water when we boil eggs, makes them peel a lot easier.

Very good buy, quality stuff. Used frequently in a number of vegetable stirfries, as a part of a meat spice rub or roasting chicken, and for cleaning cast-iron. My previous purchases of kosher salt were not as good as this.

Package looked like it had been opened. Salt is a very coarse grind. It would be ok for putting in a grinder. Really good salt for the top of baked goods (homemade crackers). Just much more coarse than I’d expected. May have missed the fine print?
