Well designed. All the features that I need, at a great price.
Fantastic product: Using it for jazz practice on acoustic guitar. Intuitive interface: Large OLED display is easy to read over a wide range of angles and lighting conditions. Volume perfectly adequate for acoustic guitar, but headphone socket is available if volume insufficient (eg. for drums or amplified instruments), or just for practising quietly. Beats are indicated in multiple ways by: click, flashing green LED, and incremental blocks on the display; with different click tone and red LED to indicate first beat of each measure. USB-rechargeable battery is a great feature (battery life depends on volume and usage, but currently using it 1-2 h a day and getting a month's use between charges). Flip-out table-top stand allows me to easily see the display without having to crane my neck. Choice of: tempo range 40-208 bpm; 9 different rhythm patterns; and 0-9 beats per measure. I initially thought that the human voice counting option was an unnecessary gimmick, but it has been very helpful when practising complex syncopated phrases. Tap feature works well: allows you to tap along with a track and set the metronome to the same tempo. Timer function for fixed bursts of practise is easy to use (long press to activate, then repeated short presses to cycle time period :15, 30, 45, 60 min), and gives a countdown of time remaining in the session. The only suggestion for possible future improvement might be a wider range of tempos (? 20-250bpm), but this is not a problem if you're able to subdivide the beats. Delighted with my purchase and have recommended it to friends and colleagues.

Pro musician approves this device
This metronome is not what I expected. Nothing you see on Amazon is ever as good as it looks when you buy it But I knew that, and took a chance anyway I'm pleased to say that my new metronome is excellent! It's quite big, but will still easily fit in your pocket/hand .. Because its chunkiness is what I didn't expect, it's chunky and rugged - like it was designed for frustrated musicians to throw at a wall! (it doesn't feel "cheap" at all ... almost like military equipment!) Its features are beautifully simple, and easy to use - you don't even need the manual, except to know how to change to one of three possible click tones they've included Once you find the click you like, the device remembers your settings for when you next turn it on Now the good bit: The device fits in your hand easily, it feels like a solid, chunky piece of professional 'military' equipment - lol It has four buttons representing the functions, and a side button that turns on/off the female voice counting out the beats Each of the buttons feels very good - not cheap tat that could break at any second, at all! The tempo dial is so intuitive and wonderful - you simply swish your thumb, and get the tempo you want ... again, the dial doesn't feel cheap And it feels quite - erm - "sensual" - as you swish your thumb selecting the tempo I say, "senusual" - because the veneer of the tempo knob, and the device overall, doesn't feel like cheap tat at all ... this feels like quality! You get loving sensations as you run your hand over this quality device! (eek) The buttons are rubber, not plastic - and again .. they feel substantial many metronomes, is supply tuning tones ... but, handy as that is, for this price and quality - it's not a big deal So, in that way, it's old school, and all the better for it The best thing is the headphone socket ... a small device like this would never be able to keep a drummer in time, but if you plugged it into a massive speaker, it definitely would! I've already tried it out - set it to maximum volume (a simple knob on the side) and plug the headphone jack into a speaker or computer ... it's VERY loud! No problem at all! Would drown out the loudest drummer/ trumpeter! Anyway - this is an excellent military-grade metronome that can take a beating!

Surprisingly well equipped metronome
I’m very happy with my purchase. The unit is larger and less fiddly than other metronomes I’ve tried, both physical and phone apps. The controls are well spaced out and easy to access in the middle of a practice session. It’s easy to select common rhythms and change the speed anywhere between 40bps and inhuman feats of dexterity. The real game changer, though, is the human voice readout which, when activated, reads out beat counts over the top of the clicks. It’s surprising how helpful and intuitive this is, and coupled with the display showing a progress bar which advances on each beat, you always know where you are in a bar. A fantastic practice aid, and it’s not going to break the bank.

A bit quiet
The metronome is great in lots of ways, tap tempo, rechargeable, nice controls, but it is a bit quiet. I have an ancient MR-500 Matrix metronome which is much louder, which is helpful when you’re playing a loud instrument like a flute.

Good value for the price, but quiet
Good metronome for the price. It's very intuitive to use (I didn't have to even read the manual). The only issue is that it's a bit quiet, so if you are looking for a loud metronome you either look for something else or connect it to external speaker

Spectacular metronome with tactile physical controls and very user friendly.
This pocket size metronome by Sondery is well worth the asking price. With physical controls and a clear audible voice that counts the beats in the measure it is a perfect companion to any musician’s arsenal. The voice annunciation of the measures is optional and can be toggled on or off with a quick press of the side button. No touch screens to frustrate you; just a perfect little device that is both practical and easy to use. There are separate controls for number of beats in a measure and time signatures. There is even a function for just a basic pulse with no counting of time. When count is used the led on the front of the metronome will flash red on beat one and will flash green for the rest of the measure. There is a physical adjustable dial for tempo, a physical dial for volume, and the side button will also change between three different click sounds as well as the voice feedback. The only drawback is the yellow backlight; it is a little dim. The controls are all physical buttons and tactile making this unit user friendly and accessible to a blind musician as well as anyone else. It charges via USB C and the charging led will pulse green while charging and will maintain a steady green light once charging is complete. Overall a genuinely nice unit and I am pleased with it.
