I thought this would save me time cleaning out soiled litter on a daily basis. However, there are major flaws with the system that is causing much more trouble le than it's worth. This system may be okay for a very small cat, but for my 16 lb cat this has been horrible. She tends to urinate in the back. So the wet litter and sometimes poop is getting compacted and stuck behind the rake and not scooped at all without me manually doing so. After several days the entire back is compacted with soiled litter. I have tried two different highly rated clumping litter and it happens with both brands. Several of the rubber tips on the rake have come off when trying to loosen and clear out the compacted litter. The rake also breaks up some of the wet litter too soon so instead of clearing out clumps efficiently, a lot of the wet soiled clay gets broken down by the rake and integrated back in with the remaining clean litter. Also, the trash bin fills too quickly and overflows into the tray that is supposed to be dumped back into the main box. As for positives, I like the mat that comes with this. The design in theory is good if it worked. However, I believe it needs redsign. It would be great if a wide scooper started above the back of the to reach and scoop forward all of the soiled litter stuck in the back. Also, there needs to be more time allowed for the litter to clump. It is useless if the rake is juat breaking through wet litter. It takes more than an hour to clean this weekly. And I have to clean this daily which defeats the purpose. Also, there is still litter trapped behind the trash bin and underneath that I can not get to easily without taking this apart. For now, I jus sweep it it with a small broom as best as I can. I really had high hopes for this product and I am very disappointed. I can not recommend this product. *I forgot to mention how loud this is which would I get over if the system worked well. Edited: Customer service did reach out to me to rectify this matter so they are quite responsive and helpful. Unfortunately, the litterbox has since stopped working after 6 months. Even when plugged in, it will not light.

Purchased Nov 2022. This is my first automatic cat litter device and have one cat. It's works better than scooping constantly, although I have to change out the bag every two days, due to it filling up quickly. Not sure how it can last as stated. UPDATE- It stopped working. Lights blink continuously for awhile, finally got it to turn off. Then was able to power on again and it ran back and forth, until I was able to get it turned off. Now it will not turn on at all. I’ve contacted Pitpet , since it does have a 2 yr warranty. Will update with outcome. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Melissa was quick to respond and sent a new replacement! Overall this was a good purchase and I like it more than the more expensive, very popular, sphere-shaped auto litter box (you know the one). Pros: the deodorizer on this is steller - I cannot smell the litter at all. It 'mows' twice each time, so it gets absolutely everything in the bag box. The shape of it is easier to fit against a wall, corner, etc. I like the look of it. It's moderately quiet. It's about $100 less than a lot of other auto litter boxes that do the same thing. My cats took to it within just a couple hours, and it took days for them to get used to the sphere one. Cons: its REALLY finicky about the amount of litter in the box, I cannot get even close to the 'max' line with litter, or it'll stall-out, beeping incessantly. For this reason I keep the litter at or near the minimum line. When it does start beeping is hard to tell what the issue is. Unplugging doesn't work because it has a battery backup so I hold down the power button to reset. I hate the bags that come with this thing because fitting them in the bin is a total hassle, and having to buy special bags is something I don't care to do... so I don't even use them at all. I just dump all the litter out into a grocery bag and tie it up and throw it out.
