VEVOR Plasma Cutter, 50Amp, Upgraded Non-Touch Pilot Arc Air Cutting Machine with Torch, 110V/220V Dual Voltage AC IGBT Inverter Metal Cutting Equipment for 1/2" Clean Cut Aluminum and Stainless Steel

I have been involved in metalworking for 20+ years, and have used several brand name plasmas (hypertherm, fronius, miller). I bought this on a whim thinking it would probably suck, but maybe be okay for the thin stuff I needed it for. I have been nothing but pleased and surprised, this thing cuts, plain and simple. The pictured cut is through 1/2" plate which is more than I would realistically ask of any 50a machine, and it did it no problem with a slow feed rate. It has hogged through 100+ feet of cut on 1/4 and 3/16 in the past week in my shop. Will it make the cleanest cuts-no. Will it fly through thick plate- no. Will it crap out with heavy use, maybe? But if you are looking for an entry level plasma, I would have no problem recommending this one. For the price, I just can't imagine a better one.

It may be hard to believe that this plasma cutter could do anything at this price point. Well, it works perfectly, even if you’re cutting 1/2” thick steel. If you are cutting 1/2” or 3/8” steel you’ll want to plug this into a 220 outlet but if you’re cutting something thinner than that your 110V outlet will work just fine. Hard to find anything wrong with this cutting and nit picking doesn’t feel good….but for those who like it: the ground cable could be a bit longer and the air pressure gauge could read PSI but, if that stops you….you probably should spend several hundreds more on a machine that works no better than this one! It’s a great little machine!

So far very impressed with this little machine! Just received my machine Friday. I would have given this cutter 5 stars if it wasn't for their poor choice of fittings on the regulator and the short ground cable. Not that big of a deal for the price. I just replaced their straight cut (very hard to seal) threaded barbs on the regulator with (2) 5/16 X 1/4" npt thread barbs. For a longer ground I used the cable from my stick welder. I cut about 40' of 3/16 steel so far. It cuts like a hot knife through butter. Have done all of my cutting using 220v. Have not tried it on 110v and probably won't because I have the 220v outlets. Still using the original tip. Cuts better than my old Miller. The torch lead is fantastically quite long. Makes it nice for working around a large project without repositioning the machine constantly. The power cord is nice and long as well. Very light, compact, and easily portable. Consumables and replacement torchesare readily available on Amazon. Hopefully the Vevor continues to work this well for many years to come. I did purchase the 3 year protection plan just because of past China equipment experiences. So far it seems very capable and would recommend.

The plasma cutter had a missing guage on the regulator. I contacted vevor and they wanted pictures, I sent them a picture of the guage missing they wanted more pictures of the box. It has been 15 days that I have had this machine and not able to use it. I will go and buy a guage myself and give up on vevor customer service. I could have returned it to Amazon but chose not to.

I bought this plasma cutter for home shop use and only used it on 110 volt input. It cut light gauge metal fine.

Would have given it a better rating but I had to remove the cover to connect the wire to the ground cable. The bolt was rolling around inside. Cable is really short also. Has nice long lead on the gun though. Have only used on 220 volts cutting sheet metal and rusty bolts but worked good for that. The guard for keeping the tip off the work piece is cheap and doesn't retain tension. Will probably make my own. Works as good as my $1100 ESAB that blew a circuit board and would have cost more to fix than what this whole thing cost and this has dual voltage and pilot arc.

I assembled it it went together great I took it out side and started cutting up some scrap steel I had in the yard and it was a lot faster and cleaner than my oxygen acetylene cutting torch very little sparks compared to the torch it like vaporized a lot of the metal I like it it made the job easier

For the price, very impressed with the machine. Easy to set up and use.
