If they are used on an injury where they are used on body heat, it lasts for about 2 hours, but if being used as an ice pack for lunches inside and insulated bag they last for 4-6 hours **Q: can this be stored in the freezer long term?** A: Not sure but why would you keep it in freezer long term when it only takes a couple of hours to freeze. We use ours daily at the moment after my wife knee op. So it is in out all the time But when we stop needing it it will come out.
