Awkward at first
At first I thought it was a little awkward and maybe even useless. But the next day, I was a little sore in the shoulders where they were stretched by this. So, I gave it another shot and have been doing every day since. I had to play around with it a little to figure out how it best worked for me. It does help with stretching my shoulders and I like that. Hopefully it will eventually help with my “tech neck” too. After reading other reviews, I was hoping for a little more in the beginning. Like maybe a back crack or something but nothing like that happened for me. However, it does help me stretch in ways I couldn’t on my own. I’ve been out of the habit of stretching for the past year or so and this is helping me change that.

It went a little something like this...
"Yoga crucifix?!? Here we go again with one of your crazy contraptions.""You don't even know what it is yet."::begins to assemble::"Well, its a yoga crucifix according to the box so I do know & it sounds ridiculous."::assembly completed::"Now what the heck are you gonna do with that?""I plan to use it as instructed....Omg, this stretch feels amazing. Wow. This is gonna be great to use after sitting hunched over at my desk all day.""Let me try it.""After you sat there and made fun of it & me for the last 10 min? No. I'm not letting you try it. ""Come on, you always say I need to do something for my posture.""Fine. Here.""Ahhh. This does feel good. Am I doing it right? ""Yes, dad. You just put it against your back, wrap your arms around from the front & gently stretch.""I feel like I could snap this if I pull too hard.""Yea. Don't do that. You don't need to "pull it". Its not the sturdiest thing but as long as you aren't rough with it, there's no reason why it should break.Plus, it's mine so it's not like....Wait....where are you going?"And thats how my yoga crucifix was stolen.I guess it's just as well, I've been harping on my dad for quite some time now to do some stretches for his posture but he just ignores me.But, according to my ma, ever since he commandeered MY yoga crucifix, he's been using it multiple times a day, saying how good his back feels during and after. I'd even go so far as to say he looks like he's standing up a bit straighter & doesn't look as stiff as he usually does.I wonder if he'd go so far as to say he was wrong about this "crazy contraption".

Very cheaply made
I can see having some thing like this in my gym closet with all my other back stretching gismos Unfortunately i will have to search for one that doesn’t look and feel like it came from the bargain bin in a 99¢ store. I don’t imagine this will last more than a week before it bends and snaps. If you have ever used a dollar store broom that bends in half than snaps the first use than imagine crossing two of those and this is what your getting. They even put cheap stickers of stars that makes it resemble a cheap toy not gym equipment. It weighs almost nothing. Its a shame the form has use i was able to get a nice lower tail bone stretch an release by aligning it with my spine placing my arms over the horizontal rods an leaning back than forward. My backs so tweaked any relief is welcome. Just step up the build people.

A bit like bearing a cross
This can really help remind you to sit up straight, feet flat on the floor, eyes forward, hands clasped upon your desk. I was in Catholic School and they had just forbade the nuns from using a ruler on students years before and boy, were they itching to give us a good whacking. Call it what you want, but just like the military, we knew when and how to stand up straight and present well, even for a bunch of hooligans.

I like it
Eight hours a day, I sit at a computer desk and that I noticed definitely takes a toll on my back and posture. I found this easy to put together and to use. You can use it for a few different stretches. I'm 5'8" and can use it pretty comfortably. I can feel that it helps make my back feel better and like I can sit and stand straighter. On the days I work, I tend do multiple 10-15 minute stretches with this, especially after work and break time. As long as you don't put too much pressure on the device, you should be fine with it not breaking.

Posture improvement
Designed to identify and improve your posture. Might be a great benefit for those of us that spend way too many hours in front of a computer or in a head down position. Myself personally. After first use, I could really identify the posture issues that I have. I would recommend that you follow the recommend steps and not overdo it in the beginning. I have already seen and feel the improvement that this stretching tool has provided in a few days. An improvement to my neck and shoulder muscles after a long day. I believe with continued daily usage that it will help correct the posture issues and sore muscles I have been experiencing.
