塗膜が強くて使いやすい
少々お値段が張るのと変わったデザインのボトルで購入に二の足を踏んでいましたが、 模型メーカーのコトブキヤさんのYouTubeチャンネルで強くお勧めされたので、試しに購入してみました。 まずボトルの作りですが、従来の塗料のような回して開けるタイプではなく、 リキッドタイプの口紅みたいな少し変わった「パカッ」と開けるような感じで最初は戸惑いました。 でも、慣れてくると内ぶたについている”ベロ”のような部分で筆に乗せる塗料の量を調節できるので ある意味理に適った形状なのかも。 肝心の塗料ですが・・・ 水性塗料とのことですが、タミヤのアクリル塗料やクレオスの水性ホビーカラーの溶剤の匂いとは違った アルコール臭や刺激臭が少ない、マイルドというかそんな感じで溶剤臭の苦手な方でも大丈夫そうです。 もちろん、集合住宅でも問題ないと思いますが、お子さんやペットのいるご家庭だと誤飲にご注意を。 塗料のビン生の状態は少し粘度の高めな感じで、直塗りはよほどの腕がないと難しそう。 なので、塗料皿（またはパレットや汚してもいい醤油皿みたいなもの）を用意して 水で希釈しながら塗ると、伸びがよく下地が透けにくい感じで塗れます。 塗膜も強く、スポット塗装からジオラマなどの”敢えて”筆むらを残す塗り方も希釈次第で表現可能。 乾燥も早く、ある程度なら重ね塗りもできるうえに、はみ出してもプラスチックを侵す心配が無いので クリアパーツに塗って、はみ出たら爪楊枝や竹串などでひっかくと程よく削ることもできるので便利です。 （安物のアクリル絵の具のように膜状にぺりぺり剝がれるのとは違ってコントロールしやすいです） 後片付けも塗料が乾いてないうちならすべて水洗いで筆や塗料皿をお手入れできるので、とても楽チン。 色の名前が独特なので単品購入の場合名称で迷いそうではありますが、 脱初心者を目指すモデラーさんからガッツリベテランモデラーさんまで、おススメです。
