Marie Curie's Search for Radium (Science Stories)

A quick read, not very specific
If you are looking for a in depth biography of Marie Curie, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a scientific look about how exactly the Curie's discovered Radium, look elsewhere. If you are looking for an easy-to-read & very general overview of Marie Curie, her informal education, and how she and her husband kept going through many hardships to isolate the radioactive element Radium, this might be it.It isn't enough on its own for a student who wants facts and details, but will be enough for younger children or those who just like a good story.

Simple book, basically for childrens. Anyway I did enjoy it. Does not have in depth information. Only brings a brief biography.

This is beautifully written with really lovely illustrations
This is beautifully written with really lovely illustrations. The science content is more suitable for ages 7+ and the reading content would be similar. This is a real Charlotte Mason 'Living Book' - bringing science to life through learning about Marie Curie and her discoveries. Would highly recommend - our 3 children have all loved this book and begged me to carry on reading it over supper!
