Had problems at first with drive seating. Hard to push the drive into the connector on the enclosure. Transfer rates are similar to SATA. Up to ~120MB/s, but not what you'd normally get with SAS drives and a real controller. SAS are enterprise drives normally found in data centers with good cooling. Drives in this enclosure run HOT, but don't know about longevity.
