AURAGLOW Super Bright 16w LED B22 Bayonet Light Bulb, Cool White, 6500K -1521 Lumens - 100w EQV - Dimmable

I bought this bulb because I was tired of replacing normal bulbs fairly regularly. I then moved onto Halogen type bulbs which had a longer life, but unfortunately carried a heftier price tag. Queue the Auraglow LED bulb. I didn't know much about this bulb, and from previous reviews people have said this isn't one to used in a living area as it can be too white and too stark.I thought I'd give it a go, what's to lose? The bulb is a hefty piece of kit, and with the opaque appearance of it and what seems to be quite a short looking glass section I had my doubts as to how effective this bulb would be. I'm glad to say I was wrong! The bulb emits a clean white light, and at first it took some getting used to. However I wouldn't go back to yellow light now. The dimming capabilities are extremely flexible, there are no plateaus of light levels at all. The light definitely emulates daylight, and I don't know whether it's a psychological thing, but I feel more awake and alert since fitting this bulb. I do suffer from SAD, so it'll be interesting to see the results this winter.I've decided to fit out my entire home with similar bulbs due to how highly I rate this bulb. If you're considering it, don't hesitate. As long as you're prepared to make the adjustment from yellow light to what is similar to daylight in my opinion you'll be stoked!

I had a 100W dimmable bulb for my small room i have as an office. The sad thing is, while it was a warm white and gave off good light, it also gave off some serious heat. This 15W Auraglow bulb is a nice cool white and gives off none of the heat the halogen did, yet offers brilliant lighting at the same time and no heat emitting from it.You can touch these bulbs while on, whereas only a fool would try and touch the halogen ones.I've had other Auraglow bulbs in the house now, non dimmable, which have been going for nearly 18 months without hiccup!Worth the price I say if they last a long time!

They are great bulbs and work properly after a bit of messing around - when they were first used with the trailing edge dimmer (bought the other week) they didn't dim that much. I ended up reprogramming the dimmer to mode 3. This made the bulbs dim a little bit more (but not fully). I ended up having to program the minimum dim on the dimmer switch.If I didn't know about reprogramming the dimmer then the bulbs would have gone back.It would have been a lot better if the bulbs worked and dimmed properly straight out of the box without having to reprogram the dimmer - this is the reason they got 4 stars.

Excellent value product delivered on time and well packed. Good traditional shape and size to replace the iridecent bulb. My mistake was in underestimating the "COOL WHITE" description. This is a bright "ice white" light ideal for working areas but a bit harsh for atmospheric lighting and although dimmable it hardly creates mood lighting by dimming.

This Auraglow 16w bulb is bright, much brighter than any other bulb of this wattage from other manufacturers. It doesn't flicker, it works on my rotary dimmer switch and does not interfere with the radio that I have in the room it is in, unlike all the other dimmable bulbs I have tried.The dimm is smooth and the light comes on quick and doesn't get so hot that you can't touch it. Very impressed, highly recommended and will get more once the decorating is dobne (-:My little video shows it turning on and gradually brightening to it's brightest then off again - it's certainly whiter than my paintwork

I wish I had bought such a bulb years ago...now I can enjoy daylight any time. The quality of light is lovely and bright, but is fully dimmable when required. No more struggling to read in poor light or to undertake fiddly tasks without dedicated task lights.I imagine that people who suffer from SADS will also love this bulb.

I had one of the very large coils (non LED) daylight bulbs prior to owning my first one of these and I must say they do the job just as well while using a fraction of the energy.My first one of these finally died after 3 years of use and now I have purchased two more, they are VERY bright and the light really is just like daylight. Fantastic product.

Fantastic! I bought this hoping that it would make my son's dingy room look a bit brighter and ordinary 60W bulbs are just not enough. It absolutely exceeded my expectations and his room is now light and bright even on the darkest of days and nights. Being dimmable also means that he can lower the brightness if he wishes. I have now bought one for my own bedroom as I am so impressed.
