The only downside is the numbing feeling can be quite strong at first and leaves a slightly medicinal aftertaste. Useful to keep around for cold and flu season.

Excellent for soothing sore throat and coughs

I originally purchased these in a store in Scotland to relieve my cough. Loved the price and taste. I loved that my throat was numbed a bit in the process as well! I ran out on the plane and was thrilled I found them on Amazon. Price is a bit higher than in Scotland and Orkney, however.

Actual medicinal properties not just a flavored candy lozenge. First bought in the UK. Stuffy or runny nose, sinus drainage down throat, thick phlegm I bought both the purple that is more medicinal in taste and the lemon/ honey yellow ones use both daily!

Took them every 2 hours for 2-3 days and it cleared my sore throat. Dayquil/Nyquil was doing nothing and without anti-inflamatories I was in agony. These saved the day and saved me a Dr's visit! Immediate relief, no more pain meds and was finally able to sleep without waking up Ina coughing fit.
