They work!
Our oldest son has always suffered from ear pain during flights and has learned to dread flying because of it. We decided to give these a try for our latest trip to hopefully give him some relief -- and they worked! He put them in an hour before landing, as directed, and was amazed that he felt no pain or discomfort during descent. He rated them 5 stars. We will be using them for every flight moving forward.

Life savers!
Holy cow. Flying while congested in *any* way gives me the most horrible airplane ear. It feels like my ears could burst! I took a gamble buying the childrenโs size, but Iโm a petite gal with small-ish ears and they fit perfectly. Definitely purchase if youโre on the fence.

I don't fly without these!!
If you are a frequent sinus headache sufferer, and have EVER been on an airplane and felt "icepicks" in your ears as the plane descended - SUFFER NO MORE! You need a pair of these. There are adult sizes, and kid sizes. As a female, the child size just fit my ears better. The idea is to put them in while the plane is on the ground. Then when you reach cruising altitude, you can take them out. And about the time they tell you to put your seats vertical and your tray tables up in a locked position, put them back in again, and you will never again suffer the Icepick Effect on landing. You can leave them in the whole flight (and if it is under 3 hours I usually do) but for long flights it is more comfortable to remove them for the better part of the flight and just put them back in when the plane starts its descent. I used to only use them when I felt congested.... then one day.... the dreaded icepick pain.... and my ears were stuffed up for 3 days after that flight.... sounded like everything was coming through a fishbowl! I hadn't THOUGHT I was congested but my ears begged to differ! NEVER AGAIN. I wear these EVERY time I fly. I put them in the case of my noise-cancelling headphones (that I also never fly without). Since the headphones are over-the-ear, you can still use them to listen to stuff with the earplanes in. They DO cut down on noise, they have lasted me literally for years, and are high quality flexible silicone material. You can wash them with a little soap and water if you get earwax on them (and you will!). I find the child-size more comfortable for my ears! But I think Amazon sells a 2-pack with adult and kid sizes, so get both and see what works for you. I don't know if anyone uses them for babies but lots of times when the plane starts to descend and you hear babies start to cry, it's because they have stuffy heads and they are getting the Icepick Effect! I don't know if the child size would fit an infant but I would try it if I had an infant with a stuffy nose on a plane!

I wonโt fly without them ever again!
These are an inexpensive hearing saver and may be a perfect fit even for some adults, like me! Iโm an adult with small ear canals and issues with my eustation tubes. It is usually impossible for me to equalize while flying, and i even lost partial hearing in one ear due to a particularly hard time equalizing during landing on one flight. The pressure change actually damaged me for life. My ENT was doubtful these earbuds would help, but agreed it wouldn't hurt to try. We had already tried a complicated preparatory routine beginning with one drug starting two weeks before the flight, adding another two days before, and still a third one hour before flying. While this helped a bit, the pain was still fairly substantial. Adding the earplanes to my routine made quite a difference! Some tips: Be sure to put them in before takeoff, remove once comfortable at cruising altitude, and put them back in AN HOUR before landing. (They actually begin descending sooner than you think.) Also, chew gum and be sure to swallow and focus on other clearing methods as you come down. If you are using these on your kids, practice starting at least a few days before, so they are comfortable putting them in, and know equalizing practices ( swallowing, chewing, jaw wobbling, ear pulling and massaging, gentle closed-nose blowing) before the flight. Ear pain from poor equalization can be absolutely excruciating, damaging to hearing, and no wonder kids scream on flights! These are well worth the money!

Earplugs work! App didn't... And be sure to insert them properly!
I bought these lil' earplugs because I was pretty desperate. When I'm on an airplane for more than 1-2 hours, the descent is always a very painful experience for me, so I wanted to avoid it happening again when I took a 7 hour flight to England. I bought the child size due to having a very small ear canal. And, I am happy to say that they do work! But, there are a couple caveats to that... The earplugs worked, but the accompanying app did not. The app is supposed to be able to detect changes in cabin pressure, and then alerts you when you need to insert or remove the plugs. The app did nothing when I tried to use it. I made sure to have location tracking on (apparently this is how the app can detect pressure changes), I turned it on when the directions told me to, so on and so on... But, nothing was changing on the graph that I could see. I don't know what I might have missed, but maybe this was on me? Regardless! I decided it would be fine if I put the earplugs in before take off and then I could take them out when we reached cruising altitude. Then, I put them back in as the plane began final descent. This worked PERFECTLY! I will say, they were not particularly comfortable to put in and take out, they were actually quite a bit painful... But, I have to stress that it was nothing compared to the pain brought on by pressure in my inner ear and hours of muddled hearing after getting off the plane. Truth be told, the pain from the plugs themselves might have been a personal thing, due to my exceptionally tiny ear canals. I will also say, these ear plugs *technically* only worked one way of the flight... On my return trip, I don't think I put them in right, because I felt a very noticeable "shwoop" of pressure change in my ear during the first landing (after an ~8hr flight), and then the descent of the second landing (after an 1 1/2hr flight) was excruciatingly painful. I'm not really sure what happened, but I am going to chalk this up to my error, simply because I know these plugs work from experience! I'll just be sure that I have them properly inserted next time, and there WILL be a next time for me!

Its a miricle
I have very bad issues with my ears with changes in prezsure i would get laid up at destination for days crying in pain. Well i thought id give these a try reviews were good. Let me tell you these are the BEST things i have ever found i put them in an hour before flight still can hear fine just lower tones. Got on plane and OMG no pain, no pressure with accending of decending. These things are miracles and to help theres an app you download and it tells you air cabin pressure when to put in and take out. I just put in ahead of time and took out at airport at gate. Buy these there worth it.

A MUST HAVE for little flyers !!
I canโt recommend these enough!! They are a life saver when flying with littles, or have a small ear canal. No more ear pain when flying. I use them for myself, but also used them on my kids when they were little. I do not fly without these..

They seem to work!
My daughter had zero complaints of ear pain while wearing this on our 5 hour flight to and from Hawaii. They do at times start to wiggle out but thatโs the same with ear plugs.

Try These!!!
These are a game changer. I have always had issues flying. This eliminated issues entirely. I would HIGHLY suggest giving them a go. I ordered the child size as I have small ears.
