Amour Crochet Hook: 6.50mm (3)

These hooks are my favourite brand. The larger sizes are plastic tipped but don't let that put you off, they don't overly grip the yarn at all and glide really smoothly through it. As someone with arthritis and fibromyalgia, they're the comfiest (especially for longer use) that I've tried at least. Brilliant for my super chunky/bulky/baby chenille yarn projects.

I have only recently started using these Clover Amour hooks and I won't use any others now. They are as light as a feather, lovely to hold, as they don't make my wrist ache. Even though the hook is plastic the yarn moves through it so smoothly with no catches or snags whatsoever. I also have one of the metal hooks in that range and it is just as good as the plastic ones. Definitely recommend them.

They are so comfortable to use, I have a set of Clover hooks but needed this larger one to make a Pouf using Jumbo wool. They are brilliant hooks if you have arthritic fingers no aching and you can crochet for as long as you want.

As a new crocheter, I have gladly taken the advice of seasoned crocheters who have previously reviewed these hooks. So glad I did. I have found these so easy to use, they glide through the yarn.My only gripe is I wish the handles were longer, but that is just personal preference.

Normally love Clover hooks as they’re so smooth to work with. With these larger sizes being plastic though they stick and arenmore difficult to work with compared to the smaller metal head clover hooks. Think I’ll look for a different brand if I need any more hooks bigger than 6mm.

Never used a large gauge hook before. I am using heavy cotton yarn (Knitcraft Return of the Mac) to crochet a footstool. I have to adjust the way I hold it from the usual pencil hold to something more like I'd hold a trowel. All seems good though.

Love these Clover Amour hooks. Had borrowed a friend's (different make) to judge size and ordered this in the mean time.As soon as received I swapped hooks and while the other did the job, the clover amour just glided along. So much smoother, easier and more comfortable to crochet with. Definitely my go to brand.

I swear by these crochet. Clover make the best crochet hooks for ugly painful arthritic hands.Finally trying to crochet is a pleasure not a chore. I have my favourite pastime back.Thankyou Clover
