Brabantiareplaceable striker set for Touch Bin lid unit

This was just perfect, now my bin lid closes. I would definitely recommend it. Umm however Ive just found it on the Brabantia website and its only £2.25 so feel a little ripped off even if I am pleased with the little gadget!

This small plastic replacement part probably costs a few pence to make but it is priced at over £8 which is extortion !It is prone to damage and fragile so should be made of metal but this would mean that their profiteering would come to an end so why would they !

Its refreshing to get a spare of an appliance without having to buy a replacement.(cost £100-00)Its easy to fit

An absolute essential piece of kit! What are you going to do when the old one gives up? Buy a whole new bin? For me it is part of the smartest and easiest to use bin and I have more than one to take care of the recycling. However, I do have a problem with paying over £10 for 2 minute pieces of plastic which are not produced especially but are part of the production line anyway for the bin. The customer has already paid a premium for the bin - there are cheaper equivalents out there - and so there is a disappointing feeling of being got over a barrel with the price. Finally, yes, very easy to pop out the old one, put in the new one.

Saved buying a new bin which is a substantial cost. Very good.

For what it is it is so annoying the cost! It did the job but cost is outrageous . We are being encouraged not to throw away things to protect the environment .Please Brabantia think again!

Fantastic replacement piece for my bin. Brabrantia do not sell this as a spare and expect you to pay for a whole lid. This item was easy to install and is sturdy. The price though for a small bit of plastic was a little high, but much cheaper than buying a lid!

Genuine replacement, but costly for a small piece of plastic
