Beautiful design but a bit difficult to use.

Much easier than I thought, time consuming but well worth the effort
I haven't used stencils directly onto a cake before and I was pleasantly surprised. I used masking tape to secure the stencil and to create sharp ends as the stencil was too long, but once the royal icing was applied it held in place well and no smudges when I removed it. I washed and dried the stencil between using it on each side of the hexagonal cake which took time, but worth the effort.
