RIG Nacon MG-X PRO for iPhone - MFi Wireless Mobile Gaming Controller for Apple iOS - Play Fortnite Now on iPhone (iPhone)

I bought this because I was going on a business trip and needed something to do at my hotel when I got home, and figured this was a better option than being ‘the guy who brought his Xbox’. Used it in the airport during layover and at the hotel, both times with subpar WiFi and cloud gaming was still great. By no means am I a pro gamer, I’m a full time employee and father so I don’t game nearly like I used to. But if you’re in a pinch and want something to do so you’re not watching Frozen 2 for the 800th damn time while you mindlessly doomscroll or just want to pass the time without having to turn on the tv and the console, this is a great option. Hardly any lag in the controls that I’ve noticed with good WiFi, controller feels nice in your hands and isn’t super awkward or heavy. No real complaints yet but like I said I don’t use this for anything serious. Just casual play every so often.

Supposed to be a portable controller yet it won’t hold a charge so u have to have it plugged in! Looks like this is a common problem with this item and it’s extremely inconvenient. Will be returning. Waste of money!

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE NACON APP FOR IOS DO NOT DO THE UPDATE ON THE CONTROLLER IN THE APP IF YOU DO IT WILL BRICK THE CONTROLLER. I love this controller is extremely comfortable I was able to play COD for about 3 hours with out my hands hurting. The reason I had to stop playing was because my phone battery was dying and I was not able to charge my phone and still play the game. Witch brings me to the biggest problem with this controller it don’t have a pass through charger for your phone or tablet. The second biggest problem with this case is that it don’t fit all devices and you can’t use it with a case on your device. Who in there right mind would remove there phone case every time they want to play a game for a few mins I don’t know what these companies are thinking when making things. I was not aware of the problems with updating this controller in the NACON app when you do the update it will mess up your right side analog stick. Every game that you go into it will auto aim at the sky. And there is nothing you can do to fix it. You won’t be able to do the calibration. The update bricks the controller in the software.

6 Month Update: I’ve had this for 6 months now and while I still don’t like the idea of it now having a charger, it’s still the best one that I was able to find out of the many that I tried buying. I had originally stated that it feels like the phone will slip out, but never once has that happened during my time of game play. It connects easily via Bluetooth, I can play with a bulky phone case on, I’m content. Original Review: Review: Based off my experience connected via Steam Link. After purchasing The Backbone and not having it fit my iPhone 14 despite all my efforts (even after taking off the case), I tried purchasing the RIG Nacon MG-X Pro. It fit my iPhone 14, even with the Defender case on - great start! So why only 2 stars? It never felt like the phone itself was properly secured into an actual base. It hooked up easily enough, but I didn’t like the idea that my phone may pop out while I’m playing randomly. My biggest complaint was that the controller didn’t have a charge port for my phone itself, so in the long run when my iPhone’s battery life starts dropping, I’m going to need something to keep it charged in. The controller itself has a great feel to it, but that’s about the only positive thing I can say about it.

I replaced a Kishi with this and boy am I glad I did. I get a lot of use out of this. Pros: 1. Ergonomics: it's bigger than a Kishi (or, I assume, a backbone) and that makes for less cramped hands. 2. Use with a case: I can easily fit my iPhone 14 Pro Max in this with the case on. That's terrific. Cons: 1. Bluetooth: once in a while I have to turn it off and back on for Bluetooth to work properly. 2. Charging: While a charge lasts a very long time, it is a maintenance issue that something like a Kishi lacks 3. No pass-through charging of phone. Overall, I think the pros greatly outweigh the cons.

As I much have love for the company right now I have gotten 2 of these in the past week they sat on charger for a full night. And unplugged them and the won’t turn on. Won’t hold a charge.will turn on when plugged in. But won’t hold a charge. Customer service couldn’t figure it out and all Amazon says is refund. Yet this is the second time I have requested a refund for this. I only wanted one.

Bought in June 2023. Used about 1 hour n left it in box as iPhone XS was laggy. Now got an iPhone 15 pro max. Left joystick is stuck…..

Es el mejor controlador que puedes tener si tienes iPhone. Funciona tanto en xbox game pass, en PlayStation Remote app y en múltiples juegos de la app store cómo Genshin Impact. No hay lag y lo que me gusta a comparación de otros es que no hay que quitarle el case al iPhone para usarlo con el control

No recomiendo comprarlo, tengo con un mes con el, pero no había podido usarlo y a la primera actualizacion le salió Drift al Joystick derecho. Lo peor del caso es que ni en la app ni en la pagina web te ayudan.

Ya tenía otra versión de este control y salió muy bueno, pero este el pro no carga y no se puede utilizar si no está conectado una lástima que lo tuve que devolver
