I was intrigued by the Nespresso VertuoLine Coffee, Intenso
As someone who appreciates a strong cup of coffee to kickstart my day, I was intrigued by the Nespresso VertuoLine Coffee, Intenso, 30 Count capsules. Being a middle-aged professional, time is of the essence, and the convenience of these pods seemed like a perfect match for my busy mornings. However, after trying them out, I have mixed feelings about this product. What I Like: Convenience: The ease of use is undeniable. Pop a capsule in, and within minutes, you have a hot cup of coffee. This is a huge plus for those rushed mornings when I’m juggling multiple tasks. Flavor: The Intenso variety does live up to its name. The flavor is robust, and there’s a depth that you wouldn’t expect from a pod. It’s rich and satisfying, particularly if you prefer a stronger coffee. What I Don’t Like: Price: This is where the value comes into question for me. While the flavor is good, the cost per pod is quite high. When you do the math, you’re paying a premium for the convenience, and I’m not entirely sure it’s justified. For the price, I could buy freshly ground premium coffee that offers a similar, if not better, experience. Environmental Impact: While Nespresso has a recycling program, it’s not the most convenient. The capsules are single-use, and it adds up quickly. I find myself feeling a bit guilty about the waste, especially considering the alternatives that are more environmentally friendly. Variety: While Intenso is a solid choice, I found the range of flavors to be somewhat limiting. If you’re someone who likes to mix things up, you might find yourself wanting more options beyond the standard offerings. Bottom Line: The Nespresso VertuoLine Coffee, Intenso capsules are a decent option if you prioritize convenience and enjoy a strong cup of coffee. However, the price and environmental impact make me hesitant to fully endorse it. If you’re someone who values a rich, quick coffee experience and don’t mind paying a bit more for it, this might be a good fit. For me, I’ll likely keep some on hand for busy days but will continue exploring other options that offer a better balance between quality, cost, and sustainability.

Great Darker Roast Coffee Pod
This is arguably the best pod they make to my knowledge. I've tried El Salvador, Fortado, Columbia, Cuba, Melozio, Stormio, and many others and this one is best. Rich flavor probably roasted between medium and dark but leaning to the darker side. Fortado is also a favorite. Those two always taste good while many of those others I mentioned are ok but lacking in richness and flavor often tasting watered down. A trick is to pull the mug out for the last 2 or 3 seconds of the brew, at that point its basically just hot water coming through anyways. Pulling it then will give you a richer cup of joe.

Great Taste and Great Value
I'm a caffeine fiend and love a good espresso but don't always have the time to swing down to Starbucks (or wherever) to get one. These pods are great as a daily alternative. A regular shot of espresso is typically 1 fluid ounce (a doppio is two) and costs around $1.25 at Starbucks. These pods cost about $1.30 but each pod makes 7.8 ounces, almost a full cup. So at Starbucks you're paying $1.25 per ounce where here you are paying $0.16 per ounce and that's a big difference. The coffee comes out just as tasty as it does at the coffee shop with its signature creamy head. Granted, you might not want to drink the equivalent of about 8 shots of espresso, but if you are combining it with stuff to make it a latte or something (which I occasionally do) it's great. You can also buy pods that make a lesser amount. You do have to shell out the money for the actual Nespresso machine, but it certainly pays for itself over time compared to swinging through the coffee shop every day. You can return the pods to recycle them (I'm sort of a tree hugger) which is a bonus. Pros * Great taste and texture * Great value compared to commercial coffee * Recyclable pods Cons * You need to buy a Nespresso machine to use them

Great coffee....wish it was less expensive
Love this coffee but it's expensive! Cheaper than a coffee out though, I suppose. It's delicious and smooth. No bitterness, which is a big win.
