Just received today, both kittens have used it.Nice size, sturdy, easy to take the top off and on, I'm loving the vent at the front as it keeps alot of the litter inside when they leave the litter tray, rather than have litter outside the box, the sides also keep the litter inside which is a bonus.I cleaned before use and was very easy.Really nice equipment, will definitely purchase again in future.Delivery was only slightly delayed due to covid restrictions but definitely worth the wait.Really pleased

I thought this litter box a natural progression from the tiny low walled litter boxes, especially for kittens. I wanted a box without a hood that would keep the majority of the litter contained within the box. This Trixie model having an open lid with turned inwards lip and the perforated step does a very good job of containing the litter. The kitten steps onto the step and the litter caught in his paws drops mostly through the holes back into the litter tray. It doesn't eliminate tracking altogether but there is a lot less to pick up. So a great improvement because litter does not flick over the lip when kitty is digging. Hower my kitten Whimsy will get to a fairly big size and is a male so I plan to change to a hooded variety when he grows bigger.

2 issues we had, one of our two cats, when using the old litter trays, kept weeing with her bum over the side, out of the tray, onto the floor and both of them kept dragging out litter onto the floor with their paws. These tray and lid surrounds solved the wee problem perfectly and minimised the litter transfer onto the floor, to a minimum.We use the Trixie cat litter tray bags ro make cleaning and replacement of litter a doddle. Size 46cm x 59cm are ideal with enough overhang.

Cat has a habit of over-hanging the litter tray - making a mess of the floor. This tray has the raised lip all the way round and the ledge at the front. As a result - no more mess on the floor. Great!If the cat does make a mess on the front ledge, it is a little but awkward to clean - just because of the way the plastic is formed to make the holes in the ledge, you need to wipe it quite thoroughly.

This is an excellent product. It's sturdy and its high-sided design keeps the cat litter in the tray and off the floor. I already had one of these cat litter trays, and both my cat love this one out of them all. Both my cats are quite large too (British shorthairs ) so when I started reading some of the reviews I was quite surprised, especially when I was reading how small for kittens and kicking litter everywhere. Then realised most of the reviews where for the multi colour one, which is cheaper cause it’s smaller I purchase the Black one. Didn’t realise they was different in size, just through was more expensive just cause it was black 😂 till I looked further if I hadn’t of purchased one before from else where. I may not have purchased this one reading some of the reviews.Not sure on the multi colour one, but my cats love the black/bronze one, and if they are happy so am I 😺

It's a very good litter box. I've got two in my house so far. It's quite big so the cats seem to be much more happy with it because they don't have the issue of not being able to fit their whole body in it. The built of it, mostly (not entirely) prevents them from kicking litter out. It doesn't bend much, even if it's full of heavy litter, so as far as I can tell it's not easy to break.

We were in need of a new litter box for the house and this one seemed ideal. Easy to set up, simple to clean and the cat climbed straight in to use it the moment I put it down. The only downside is the perch/step part of it. My cat didn't use it. We've had one with a step in the past and my cats don't use it. Sometimes if they stand the opposite way of the step to do their business, they get mess on the step. It's easy to clean off though, it's just a pain. Make sure you have a disinfectant spray that doesn't have a strong smell to it. Also invest in a mat because when they jump out of it there's litter all around the box, despite it saying it keeps the litter inside.Overall my cats love it and use it all the time. I take it outside once a week to hose down for a proper clean with soapy water, but it stays relatively clean. I have 2 adult cats and they both seem to use this one more than the hooded or lower rimmed boxes, so I think it's a win for them.

The tray was purchased for three reasons1) Our cats nor us like the fully enclosed hoodie trays2) One cat pees close to the lip and sometimes misses3) Both cats kick up, one more than the other.We can see immediately that issue 2 will be resolvedRegarding issue 3, some litter still does get kicked over the top of the shield, but this is drastically reduced. The grill on the front stops some litter being trailed out of the tray but not all (not sure there will ever be anything that stops that).I have had to give 5* rating as the tray is neat and tidy, does reduce the issue and it's excessive cats behaviour that makes it not 100%We are keeping the tray as will use this for the tray that point 2 cat uses most and are getting a higher sided one for cat that kicks.Measurements are given incorrectly I thought this was higher. Actual measurements are 48cm Long x 35cm Wide x 20cm High.
