ESP CanCam battery powered high resolution surveillance camera

I bought this to record a bothersome neighbour who was hassling my sister. Unit arrived fairly well packed, but could have been better. No damage to unit or manufacturer packaging on opening. First impression is unit is sturdy and well made. Mine came complete with batteries and a 4GB SD card which was nice. Unit is very configurable: you can set picture resolution, record time, sleep length and (for still captured) capture frequency. Tested it at home and it worked a treat, both in daylight and in the dark. Jury is out on battery life as I've not had it long enough and I'm using the batteries supplied which I think may not be the the best quality. I'll update this post when I have some numbers on battery life. Overall a nice camera, well made and produces good quality images.Update. Battery life is very good. I was concerned it would eat batteries but we are still using the original batteries supplied with the unit: 4 weeks of operation, 200+ 90 second videos.Negative. The camera takes a second or two to 'boot up' when activated. This caused us a problem which we sorted by moving the camera away from the target zone.Positive: we have great evidence of the problem persons behaviour. To her this unit is priceless.Final note: camera may be susceptible to low temperatures. Will ask supplier.

This CCTV is great for those who are looking for something easy to use and no complex wiiring etc. the picture quality surprisingly good in both picture &r video mode..The only issue for me is the bracket to hold the camera. Once the batteries are installed the unit is too heavy for the bracket supplied. had to buy a stronger one. Other than that a great little unit.

Not being electronically or technically minded, or of an age (73) where I could pick up that knowledge easily, I have to take things 1 step at a time, before I could give a verdict. I am working on it. Thank you

If you don't have power these are ok, video and still pictures are better than expected. I have three scattered around and they do the job

Great piece of equipment but instructions are a little complicated hence only four stars, but ESP are all to willing to help with set up if you contact them, well worth the money.

To set the camera up I am finding it impossible. Nothing in the instruction manual works out and there is no fault finding instructions. Seriously thinking of giving up this internet shopping and physical shopping again. At least you can talk to salesperson and iron out mishaps there and then.
