I've been using a smaller version of this backpack for about a year and decided I wanted to go just a bit bigger, so chose this size and style by the same company. I think I like this one even better.It's extremely lightweight and can fold up into itself, although I haven't needed to pack it away yet. I'm 5'2" and the backpack is just the right length, resting on my backside. I can adjust the straps so the chest strap doesn't ride up into my chin. The straps themselves are thin, but have a tiny bit of padding so they are comfortable. The backpack is the perfect size for using as an airline carry-on.There is one large main compartment with a divider and a zipper pocket inside. I find the zipper pocket to be mostly useless as it flops around at the top of the compartment and gets in the way if you put anything inside it. I choose not to put anything in it as there are two smaller compartments that work better. That said, there is plenty of room for a lot of stuff - I usually carry a DSLR, telephoto lens, and binoculars in the large compartment with room to spare.The fabric does seem to hold up to light rain. I've not tested it in a heavy downpour, but my experience with waterproof backpacks is that nothing is ever 100% waterproof. But for light showers, this bag seems to hold up. I only wish the bottom of the bag had thicker material to add some strength to the bottom when setting it down on the ground or a wet surface.I bought the blue color which is a really pretty bright robin's egg shade of blue. For the price, you really can't go wrong with this backpack. Highly recommend.

Recently flew to Disneyland (CA) & wanted a lightweight backpack that had organization plus ability to carry STUFF. This backpack delivered! Days were warm so the backpack was essential to carry jacket & sweatshirts for chilly nights. I still had plenty of room to carry souvenirs. Loved that it folded down into its own pocket, which saved space in the suitcase.

Just got back from 3 weeks in Italy. Our airlines limited the size of our carryon backpack. This backpack was perfect. It fits so much in it, was easy to carry and had a water bottle pouch on the side.We took it everyday to every adventure we went on. It was a perfect size and not too bulky while getting around on crowded planes, trains or buses!It is so well made and comfortable to carry.

Besides getting a bag with the logo printed upside down, I can't tell if I like this bag..I bought this same brand bag in the 12 and 16 Liter sizes because I love the brand, but this (supposed) 30 Liter bag is pretty tight just from fitting the same items in there that are in my 12 L bag...I kind of like how it doesn't look "bottom heavy" like most backpacks, but it's tighter than expected and I'm not sure if I can fit regular items without the top falling pocket over..If it didn't have that front bottom pouch just for folding it, I feel it'd be a much more balanced bag where I wouldn't have to worry about the top part flopping over..(I'm returning it anyways for the upside down logo though.)

Very compact lightweight backpack. I've been taking it on all the tours while leaving my big backpack at the resort. Lots of compartments Good durable zippers and extremely lightweight. Highly recommend. I will be ordering a couple more for family members

Very well made. Lots of room and pockets. Comfortable to wear. Holds a lot of stuff. Highly recommend for air travel.

Easily fold in the small package that fits inside the 40 L pack. Used in traveling as an extra pack for Shopping.

I took this backpack to Portugal and I love how it folded up and took up so little room in my suitcase. I used it on my day excursions for the things I might need; umbrella, rain jacket, water bottle, etc. It's strong, comfortable, and lots of pockets.
