Suction is brilliant, the twin head cleans deep, be expected to empty repeatedly first few hoovers this thing sucks up every and anything within a few inches of its head. Bad bits, well theres only 1 the hose clip on mine is too loose and its hose weight makes it come away from the lance I'm sure this is just mine as it feels like the ball has been injection moulding "flash scraped" too much at manufacture and made it smaller than its supposed to be, now onto wishes for the money paid, Wish the head was wider but I guess that's why higher models are for and more expensive if you want a big head hoover choose a higher up model, Canister is small, but only having carpet in living room and stairs and landing it only requires emptying after 2-days of hovering 2-3 times perday (HIGH TRAFFIC house hold with 2 teens in and out and 10yr old back and forth). Wish the lights could be turned on and off, it can drown the carpet out from where you've passed the hoover. The lift away is good for stairs its light and not too unwieldy hose is nice and long, utensils are robust, good for cleaning furniture and the car gets those stubborn little bleedin' splinters out the pile. comes with 2 in one crevis tool and brush, separate flat furniture tool, for the money I would have wanted a pet hair tool too for the price other manufacturers offer this tool as standard but its not essential for me. White, red accents and black, its looks pretty smart. I also love the fact the brush head can be removed by simply unclipping it no need to remove screws and undo the belt from the brush, simply unclip cover clip out clean clip in replace cover simple, so those with long hairs like my kids who brush their hair multiple times a day and get hair wrapped around the brish head can simply and easily cut it away also come is with a hidden little brush and tool under the brush head flap. I'm honestly being picky here hence my five stars, and listing my wishes don't take them as bad bits as my opinion will differ from yours, it truly is a magnificent hoover.

Interesting design with its multi-functional lift away technoloqy. Like the light on the front to illuminate all those dark, dusty places. Easy to lift away to do the staircase, etc. However, within two minutes of first using it, it started cutting out and didn't realise why until my son pointed out that the cylinder was full - after having hoovered approximately two square feet of hall carpet. Once I realised this, I had a carrier bag handy into which I emptied the cylinder - 5 times in 20 minutes' hoovering! Can't quite believe this, as my Dyson can do the whole of the downstairs without having to empty it. Obviously suction is great but why such a small cylinder?I also love the way the head is so flexible and being, narrow, can fit under furniture very easily. All in all a different type of vacuum from the Dysons and Henry, which I continue to have in the house, but I think the Shark will find its own place.

I purchased this vacuum cleaner based on its great reviews and I'm so glad I did! I too have been a Dyson lover for as long as I can remember but the Shark beats my Dyson hands down. Although this cleaner isn't overly heavy the powerful suction does make you feel like you're having a work out. The results though, AMAZING! My carpets are cleaner than ever. Can't believe the pick up and how well it's left my carpet looking. The lift off feature is an added bonus for stair cleaning etc. Highly recommended *****
