If you do not mind vague instructions, this bench is well worth it. Instructions printed in very small font and not intuitive. Came with excess screws, washers and nuts, but the manufacturer should have included a simple stamped metal wrench for the nuts. Nuts have a nylon insert so that they will not loosen over time, which is great, but for about 15 cents the manufacturer could have provided a wrench.

DO NOT BUY THIS. Assembly is hopelessly complicated.I am a fairly mechanically oriented guy. I have a pretty good home machine shop including lathe, TIG welder, and 3-axis DRO mill; I could talk you through assembling a racing engine on the phone without looking at manuals or notes. I am also an engineer, very familiar with design issues and tradeoffs. The assembly process for this chair is probably the most incompetently designed one I have ever encountered.Start with the hardware: Supplied quantities were wrong, fortunately leaving extra bolts not a shortage. But many consumers might be concerned about having extra parts after finishing. The bolt heads appear to be Phillips but they are not. Using a Phillips (#2) screwdriver to tighten these could easily damage bolts, screwdriver, or both. The heads are a much better fit to a Pozidriv screwdriver, though still not perfect and not marked as Pozidriv . Don't know what Pozidriv is? Another reason to not buy this product. Bolts are helpfully color-coded except when they forgot to put the color on them. There are too many sizes, with lengths varying by only 5mm, less than a quarter inch. The instructions are a Xerox copy, featuring extremely low resolution, thus almost useless, images.No tools are provided, though the provided tools for this type of product are usually such junk that it doesn't matter. You'll need a #2 Pozidriv screwdriver and a 10mm ratchet wrench if though some misfortune you end up owning one of these.Now on to design stupidity: There are labels on the main frame pieces saying "Face Outside." These are paper labels that wrap literally halfway around the leg. So WHAT part of the leg is to be assembled facing outside? And what direction is "OUTSIDE?" Guess wrong on this and you will not be able to fully assemble the chair. Of course this assembly step is the first one, so if you guess wrong you have to disassemble maybe half your work and re-assemble the damned thing again. This idiocy is completely unnecessary. There are three holes in the top of each frame piece that could have been slotted. Had this been done, there would be no possibility of mistake and no need for cryptic labels. Since both rails are fabricated on the same tooling, it would mean only three small changes to the tooling.Once assembled the thing appears to be adequate to do the job, but I suggest that you find a different bath chair where the assembly process has been competently designed. I am completely flabbergasted by the number of positive reviews of this product.
