I bought these to fix externally garage so required something robust. These are described as being made of steel , 6 “ long and heavy duty.They are not steel - a strong magnet proves this - I supect they are extruded aluminium. The bolt isn’t steel either.The material is thin, the bolt about 1/4” diameter and it protudues about 15mm only from the barrel. Fine for light work but no way is this heavy duty.

Quite solid product just much smaller then I imagined. Probably my fault for not paying attention to the details . They did the job but with decent tug sure wouldn't hold up to pressure Probably would be ripped off . But not tried it so just my opinion. Think they would be fine for a wardrobe door .but I brought them for my garden shed , which had even worse latches very brittle they snapped so got these as a replacement. Stronger then previous ones .

These are small, but they’re quite heavy and far more robust than a set I bought a while ago. They look and feel robust. I have a couple of shed doors which need additional bolts, so to find a pair for less than a fiver is excellent value. They’re supplied with screws and very easy to fit. I’m pleased with them.

Purchased for my shed door - they’re not that heavy duty but have done the job. Did find that the bolt was difficult to slide once the unit had been screwed to the door. Loosened a couple of the screws very slightly which seems to have solved the problem for the time being.

The best pad bolt I have installed. simple to install, heavy duty, sturdy, will last years if not decades. very satisfied. Recommend viewing other of their products. have purchased other or their item and am most satisfied.
