Oven Mate Oven Cleaning Kit 500ml

I’d give this more stars if I could. I loathe cleaning my oven so it hadn’t been done for years. However, I recently slopped a load of olive oil on the bottom by mistake so it had to be done. I ordered this and cooked as normal in the meantime so the state of the oven was pretty vile by the time I came to use it. This was so easy, just brushing it on and no odour at all. I left for a day and was amazed how much filth came off. Because I wanted to do a proper job, I then put more on and left overnight which cleared up any residue. I am so so impressed. I wish I’d taken before and after photos now. It looks like a new oven. Unbelievable!

I'm quite annoyed I didn't think to take before photos!I've lived in rented house for 10 years and never been able to get the oven completely clean. The racks were always coated in old baked on grease and looked black with occasional glimmers of chrome. I've tried every product and potion and at best I've got maybe 45% of the old grime off.Having read reviews I also bought the tray to soak the racks inhttps://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00A7Q76B8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_4ZBTT280EJS92NGWEXKF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1It works brilliantly, layered a good coat into the oven and then covered the racks, grill tray and grill rack. It was tricky to coat the racks even though the mixture is a good thickness so I think the tray was a great extra purchase. I left it all about 2 hours and came back to see ... it was already working! I rinsed off the racks and gave them a scrub down with the wire wool brush(see picture) then I decided they needed a bit more effort. I put a good amount of the gel over the racks and worked it in with the scrubber, gave then 30 minites to work and then I poured boiling water into the tray to make a hot solution. Worked magic. Left it 45 minutes and came back. Another, lighter, rub down with the scrubber and they were 90% clean. Rinsed and soaked in more boiling water and scrubbed the remaining small areas with the handy little brush in the pack which I coated with cleaner and used like a toothbrush on the tricky corners and joins.By that time I was ready to clean out the oven and was genuinely amazed/disgusted that do much black greasy gunk could come off my oven. It took a whole kitchen roll to clear it and then I washed down with a cloth and hot water.The gloves and sleeves provided were good but I'm glad I had some spare gloves at home so I could dispose of one set after applying and use fresh gloves to do the clean off.This really is so good and if you're oven isn't as bad as mine I've no doubt it would need minimal scrubbing/effort to get great results.

Ive been wanting to clean out my integrated stainless steel oven for over a year(!), but just never found the time to. I was really intrigued when I came across this cleaning gell because the last thing I want to do is be scrubbing my oven clean to a point where my muscles ache. I liked the conveniency of having a product that does all the “scrubbing” for me and this gel does exactly that - but, it took a little longer then anticipated.As you can see from the pics Ive attached, I ended up using this product 3 times. The first day I left it on overnight: most of the grease on the bottom came off, but not as much as Id hoped for. The second night I decided to leave it on for a full 24 hour period: more came off, but again, it wasn't as spotless as I had anticipated and I found myself scrubbing! Ugh! Between the second and third use, I had cooked a 2kg bone-in lamb shoulder so more grease has accumulated on the bottom of my oven, but it wasn't stubborn grease so I knew it wouldn't take much effort to clean 3rd time round.But I really wanted to try and get rid of the remaining stubborn grease also so on the 3rd use, I decided to leave the product on for a full 48 hour period. Now its 99% spotless and the stubborn grease came off with soooo much more ease - I literally wiped it away using a damp cloth and was finished in less then 5 mins; but there are still very minor grease marks remaining which is slightly frustrating, but Im not complaining!!! I did try to scrub it off with a scourer but some of them are just so damn stubborn: BUT - Im very confident that 4th time round will be a charm haha!I also used this product on my oven racks and inner glass of the oven - I noted another reviewer on here saying she left it on the glass for 20 mins so I followed suit and it came out lovely! First time in a long damn time that I can see through the glass!!! The gel removed 50% of stubborn grime and grease off my oven racks, but again, I feel like the product needs to be left on for much longer, moreso if its grease that has accumulated for months like my racks have, but I havent found the time to do that yet as I live with a cat so I clean when he is outdoors exploring.Overall, this DOES do what it says on the tin, BUT it takes more time and patience because you will find yourself leaving the gel on for much longer then you had hoped. I will use this gel more frequently now so that I dont have to end up leaving it on for hours on end which I think is the best way forward!N.B: this product smells very similar to bleach/peroxide, but it is very subtle. The gloves that come with the packaging are pathetic in my honest opinion. I didn't even want to take the chance by using them as they are so thin, so I used a thicker pair of marigold gloves that I have. At times, I felt part of my skin/face itching and realised Id got some splatter back whilst cleaning - I should of really used something to protect my face, but it wasn't overly concerned because it was just small specs of burning/irritation on parts my skin so I just rinsed my face and hands with soap and water and I was fine. I also noted another reviewer on here saying that this product is messy - well of course its messy! When you clean, things have to get messy before they get clean!! *Facepalm* LOL! The product also states that it shouldn't be used on stainless steel, but in this day and age, every modern oven is stainless steel so it defeats the warning, but my integrated oven/racks are stainless steel and I have had no issues whatsoever, even having left it on for a total of 3-4 days!

Brilliant product and excellent fast service.

Game changer. It really works. After a Christmas beating the oven needed a deep clean. I take off the wire racks in the oven on the sides and soak them separately, and brush the goo all over the oven. Keeping away from door seals. Leave over night and it’s all slid down to bottom of oven and is ready to wipe away with kitchen paper. Don’t wash it down the sink. I treat the trays etc the same way.Good as new.There is a quick cleaner that I use weekly and that just keeps on top off the mess and saves from having to gut it so often.The smell from this cleaner is a lot less powerful on the nose, but works soooo much better than supermarket spray on stuff.

Came without the gloves but did have the sleeve protectors so I can only assume they removed the gloves for Covid repurposing?It's a very simple to use product, just paint it on really but keep your skin protected. It got most of the gunk off but certainly not 100%. I gave it 3 passes in the end but I'm still not completely clean. It says complete cleaning in 1 pass but not a chance. I gave it 3 hours but it's possible to leave it all night. Problem is with no gloves I needed to be super careful so I'm not completely satisfied but it is an awful lot better.

Il explique que le produit doit être appliqué en fonction de l'état de saleté: résidu épais = plus de gel et temps d'application prolongé (toute une nuit si nécessaire). Il faut protéger les surfaces de travail sur lesquelles on dépose les grilles pendant le nettoyage, et éviter les écoulements et les éclaboussures.Première impression très positive: l'application du produit est vraiment facile et surtout sans fumée ni odeur nocives.J'ai appliqué le gel sur une grille de barbecue couverte de couches de graisse épaisse et de sauce brûlée (été 2016!). J'ai préféré déposer la grille sur un grand sac poubelle ouvert en deux, et je l'ai recouverte pendant que le gel faisait son (mon?) travail. J'ai versé un peu de gel dans un récipient en verre et j'ai appliqué avec la brosse fournie. Le gel est épais et reste sur les parois sans couler ni glisser. La brosse permet une application précise et évite le gaspillage. J'ai rincé à l'eau après 30 minutes et toute la graisse a disparu avec l'eau de rinçage! Pas besoin de frotter ni de gratter, et la grille était toute propre.C'était tellement impressionnant et facile que j'ai décidé de nettoyer les plaque du four, couvertes par endroits de taches de graisse incrustées qu'il m'était impossible d'enlever. Une couche de gel sur toute la surface, 30 minutes plus tard et après un rinçage à l'éponge, les plaques sont comme neuves: toutes les taches incrustées ont été dissoutes!Plus de graisse de coude et plus de produits nocifs dans la cuisine...Je recommande sans aucune hésitation. La facilité d'application et les résultats sont vraiment impressionnants!

J'en ai essayé des produits pour four mais comme celui là jamais.Son efficacité est redoutable et vraiment sans frotter : un gel à badigeonner au pinceau. Laisser agir. Coup d'éponge et c'est propre, décrassé. Tout ce qui est brûlé, incrusté, qui a résisté à tous les produits et pulvérisé et sans odeur.Un flacon convient pour 2-3 nettoyages.Livré avec des gants et des manchettes de protection, ceux-ci ne sont pas là pour faire beau ! Le produit contient de la soude caustique à une concentration de près de 30%. La moindre goutte sur la peau brûle ; je n'ose imaginer les yeux.En tous cas ici c'est essayé et adopté.

Très bonne produit qui nettoie le four/bbq comme neuf. J’ai bien apprécié les manches en plastique pour protéger les bras et la brosse pour bien mettre le produit dans les coins difficiles.
