Periodic Table of Elements Polyester Fabric Poster for Chemistry Classroom (54 x 35 IN)

This periodic table is printed on vinyl stock and seems quite tear resistant. The coloring of the table is quite attractive and it gives the usual information one sees on a periodic table (element name and symbol, atomic number, atomic mass, and the rows and columns are labeled with the appropriate period and group names).The data agree with the IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) version of the periodic table as claimed. Note that there are some differences for elements 104-118 as compared with other versions such as the ACS (American Chemical Society) version and the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) version. These differences are simply reflecting the uncertain state of knowledge of these radioactive elements created in the lab in microscopic quantities and the exact times that the different versions of the table were formulated. The color coding for the type of material (i.e., alkali metal, transition metal, noble gas, etc.) gives exact name agreement with the ACS terminology except that what the ACS calls “Other Metals” are called “Basic Metals” in this table.The only slight flaw in the item is that instead of being shipped in a rolled state, it was more like the roll was smushed down into a folded state. This left creases in the vinyl making the surface noticeably uneven and taking away a bit of the visual appeal. Maybe a very low temperature iron would smooth it out, but I’m not willing to risk it. Still, I would have been over the moon to have had this item back when I was a kid!

The media could not be loaded. I got this periodic table poster for our homeschool class room. It's made out of a plastic material that appears to be heat bonded over some type of reinforcing threads. It feels very sturdy. It has a metal grommet in each corner.The materials are without flaw for the most part. As you can see in my video, there are a few wrinkles and some waving in the materials at the top and bottom borders, I think due to the printing or heat bonding or both. They're barely noticeable and do not interfere with the functional part of the poster or the overall aesthetic. The whole thing can be rolled up, but it is a bit stiff to work with, as seen in the video as well. Pinned to the wall by grommets, it pretty well smoothed out. When I first opened the poster it smelled strongly like a plastic pool floatie does. The smell died down after airing out.The colors are bold and bright, and the text is clear and not blurry. The poster itself is a great size, not so big I can't hang up anything else, but not so small we can't see it. I would definitely recommend this periodic table poster.

It’s got the brass rings on the corners to make hanging on the wall a breeze. It is accurate and I didn’t see any inaccuracies.

This is a very good quality periodic table. I ordered it for my son, who is a senior in high school and who really enjoys the sciences. Unlike a paper poster, he can use it in his room now, and pack it later for his dorm room in college. It is made of sturdy material so it should hold up well. It is easy to hang without damaging it thanks to the metal grommets in the four corners. The printing on the table is bright and easy to read. My son was very happy with it and it immediately went on the wall in his room. The only complaint was that it wasn't packaged well and did get a lot of creases. It is definitely a better value than a paper poster that would cost nearly as much.

So first I will say that I like the material as it is thick and durable, however with that being said it came folded and required quite a bit of effort to get the wrinkles out which I still haven't completely, that along with what is essentially a high gloss finish can make it reflect light really easily so placement and lighting is essential to consider when hanging this. It is colorful and easily readable when the aforementioned lighting concerns are addressed.
