My current helmet light goes dim to off in the cold so i am looking to replace it.** A: Hi. Aidan at Brightside here. I have included a photograph of the light after a night left out in the frost. It turned on and worked well. The batteries are slightly affected by REALLY cold weather but unless you are going to ride in permanently frozen conditions I don't think there will be a problem. The Topside lights weigh 68 grams which is just a little more than two AA batteries. They really are so light that once on are hardly noticeable. My daughter has one & said it’s better then most of her cycling friends’ ones. The light comes with two clips to allow fitment to different helmets. One "in line" and the other one has the top and bottom parts at 90 degrees... (hope that makes sense!) The lights should all be the newer 43 hour version. We updated the light last year and I don't think Amazon have any of the older version lights left.
