Very very comfortable but I won't wear them in the wet or on wet grass. I would class these as walking round town on a sunny day shoes. **Q: merrell men’s jungle moc mules - are these black nubuck leather as stated or brown nubuck as shown in the photo?** A: The label on the box mine were delivered in clearly shows it to be item ref: J39817, which on looking up this code on the Merrell website shows it as BROWN polished leather (as opposed to suede) shoes. However, the label shows the colour as BLACK SLATE! The shoes inside were indeed brown. Apparently, from talking to Merrell customer services, they do not make the black slate in polished leather. As it happens, although I thought I was getting the black slate shoes, I quite like the brown and will keep them - in any case it is easier than sending them back. However, this label is clearly a Merrell label, nothing to do with the reseller. **Q: Are these wide fit** A: Had these a year, love them. I have flat feet so wanted the raised arch mainly but with flat feet comes wide feet! and these have been great, comfy and lasted well. Use them round house mainly like slippers so dont know how they would fair as everyday use outside. The fit is good so would just order your normal shoe size. **Q: Are these waterproof?** A: Reasonably. I’ve worn them all day on wet days in the city and been fine. They last about 10 years per pair in my experience. Supremely comfortable. Great for driving in, walking in. Well designed and well made. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Most comfortable shoe ever ... for me anyway *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 13 March 2013* I was lucky enough to find a pair of these shoes in my size in a Debenham's sale for £18 about 3 years ago. As soon as I tried them on I loved them ... and I was right, they have been worn for 4 or 5 days a week ever since and have walked many a mile. They look good, they make my feet feel good and I really can't fault them - like a slipper on top with a worn-in walking boot sole underneath. Just bought my second pair as I've at last worn the soles through on the first pair and Amazon are currently selling them for £42 and if you subscribe to their clothing newsletter you get a one-off discount voucher for 20% off. Still double the price of my first pair but I would happily pay full price for these. Can't rate them highly enough, I can wear these shoes for 16 hours in a day and my feet still feel great. And as a diabetic I really do need good shoes. My feet are slightly on the wide side, but these fit just fine (sizing doesn't work for all Merrell shoes in this size though, just had to return some Rant shoes as they pinch a bit). I did try the Cotton Traders clones of these shoes, and even with the wide fitting I've never felt comfortable with them, by all means give the copies a try, but these are the the real deal. At least for me, the best shoe purchase ever made. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Merrell Jungle Moc . *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 13 October 2012* Found these to be reasonably comfortable (a little stiff) and a little generous on fit (slightly loose - but not enough for a size change.) Quality seems quite good but I think the full asking price is too high and more to do with the Merrell brand hype - they are manufactured in China (as are many other leading brands)and for the full price would expect more expensive (not always better quality!!)European manufacture. That being said, the sale price was an absolute bargain and I am well pleased overall. Very convenient "slip-on"and light weight - can take a full days walking about town or a full day at the Art Studio doing "practical" stuff.
