Bought these to replace an old one that came in handy last year when our old, little dog was attacked by a coyote in the backyard at night. Our dog is stubborn and loved sleeping outside even in cold weather, until that night. Fully fenced in yard, never would've believed it had I not seen it walking away on the 6ft cinder block wall. The old alarm did scare the coyote and that probably made the coyote drop the dog on a planter. My dog survived puncture wounds and 8 broken ribs. She now willingly sleeps inside the garage. Shortly after the attack the old alarm ran out of battery, so I feel it was pretty lucky that it worked that night. Bought this set as a replacement and additional alarms to keep hanging around the house and in the garage, most always take one whenever outside.
